Solana [$SOL] rebounded above the $70 mark with price up by about 2% in the past 24 hours at press time, amidst a wider market recovery. Notably, the daily trading volume was up more than 20% to around $2.20 billion.

Solana’s rally began late last week after a TD Sequential buy signal, lifting the price about 8% from $68 to $74. However, momentum now appears to be shifting on shorter timeframes.

As the price of Solana rises above $70, it encounters a heavy resistance at $75, which could be a hurdle to this recovery.

Moreover, the TD Sequential has flashed sell on the 4-hour timeframe as it tests its resistance trendline. The resistance is coinciding with the 200 SMA, showing its a strong area of supply. As such, it could suggest that $SOL is about to undergo a minor pullback to $72 or even lower levels.

Bitcoin traded near $64,200 on Monday, stuck in range-bound conditions as a hawkish Federal Reserve and a sixth consecutive week of spot exchange-traded fund outflows continue to cap any upside from easing geopolitical tensions.

The U.S. and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding last week, formally ending more than 100 days of conflict that had shuttered the Strait of Hormuz and disrupted a fifth of the world's oil flows.

At the time, the deal triggered an initial risk-on pop across markets. Indeed, bitcoin

 briefly reached $66,230 the previous week, but the bounce gave way as Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's first FOMC meeting dashed hopes of near-term rate cuts.

Warsh signaled a hawkish stance, and CME FedWatch now shows roughly a 36% probability of a rate hike at the July meeting, with markets pricing in at least one 25-basis-point increase by year-end. The DXY also recovered to the 100.6–100.8 range on the back of the Fed's tone, a headwind that has historically weighed on bitcoin.

Following last week’s macro news cycle, spot bitcoin ETFs logged net outflows for a sixth straight week, The Block reported Monday, with the scale of outflows narrowing significantly from earlier in the month but still failing to flip positive.

U.S. spot ETFs recorded a record $6.35 billion in net outflows over the past 30 days, according to Galaxy Research and The Block's data.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission issued the request for comment Monday afternoon, organizing it around two questions. The first asks how standard futures, including energy futures, would function on a 24/7 schedule with no change to their fixed expiration, delivery, or settlement terms. The second asks what happens when perpetual contracts reference physically delivered or storable energy commodities. Comments are due within 30 days of the notice's publication in the Federal Register, per the CFTC release.

The filing is a request for comment, a procedural step that gathers input ahead of any rulemaking rather than a proposed rule with regulatory text attached. The agency says it "intends to use the information and comments received to inform its understanding of these developments."

Selig's Innovation Pledge
Chairman Michael Selig framed the move as supporting new market designs without loosening guardrails. "As registered entities extend trading hours and introduce new contract designs, a clear, target="__blank" rel="noopener noreferrer ">said in the release. He added that the request "reflects the Commission's commitment to supporting responsible innovation, while preserving the protections against manipulation and market disruption that participants and the public rely on."
