SpaceX is tied to the plush toy, not the token. ASTEROID remains an unofficial meme coin with no confirmed backing from SpaceX, Musk, or Liv Perrotto’s familyA Shiba Inu plush toy on SpaceX’s online store has sent a parody crypto token or meme coin into another sharp rally.

Asteroid Shiba, an Ethereum-based meme coin built around the “Asteroid” plush from SpaceX’s Polaris Dawn mission, jumped more than 137% over the past week, according to CoinGecko. 

Its market value briefly climbed from roughly $22 million at its weekly low to about $86 million at the peak, before cooling to around $60 million.

XRP Ledger TVL Falls 67% Despite Near $800M Stablecoin Growth

Stablecoin supply has grown to nearly $800 million.

DeFi activity remains weak despite rising on-chain liquidity.

The XRP Ledger TVL has experienced a steep decline over the past year, even as stablecoin activity on the network continues to grow.

According to DefiLlama data, total value locked on the XRP Ledger has fallen from nearly $120 million in July 2025 to approximately $39 million today. That represents a drop of roughly 67% in less than twelve months.

$39B returns to crypto markets – Bitcoin’s macro relief rally may fade WITHOUTOptimism around U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio-led ceasefire talks lifted risk sentiment across crypto markets.

The talks followed a reported agreement between the U.S. and Iran on a 60-day ceasefire framework. Both sides retained the option to extend it through mutual agreement.

Amid the development, the total crypto market cap increased by roughly $39 billion, up 1.37%, and stabilized near $2.19 trillion. Bitcoin [BTC] reclaimed the $64,000 level at press time.

Ethereum [ETH] also showed signs of recovery and traded around $1,723. However, average daily trading volume remained below normal levels at $52 billion to $55 billion. That suggested conviction remained limited despite the rebound.

Are traders turning bullish?
As markets recovered, traders gradually rebuilt exposure through derivatives. Open Interest stood at roughly $108 billion over the past 24 hours.

Funding Rates stayed near neutral to slightly positive, indicating longs paid only a modest premium to maintain positions. Meanwhile, the Long/Short Ratio remained balanced, with longs at 50.35% and shorts at 49.65Source: CoinGlass
Liquidations also eased to roughly $146 million after earlier volatility flushed weaker positions. That pointed to improving risk appetite.

Even so, leverage appeared to rebuild faster than conviction. This left traders focused on whether stronger Spot demand and fresh capital inflows would emerge.

Bitcoin ETFs shed a record $6.4B in 30 days amid crypto winter chill


US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded their largest 30-day net outflow since launching in January 2024 amid a crypto bear market.

According to data from Galaxy Research, US Bitcoin ETFs saw $6.35 billion in net outflows over a trailing 30 trading days. It also comes as they registered their sixth week of outflows last week, bringing their cumulative net flow to $53.4 billion, down from their $63 billion peak in October 2025.

Galaxy Research said the daily outflows are “still deepening day over day.”

The outflows could reflect waning sentiment from institutional investors for Bitcoin. However, BlackRock US head of equity ETFs Jay Jacobs told Cointelegraph on Thursday that there are many other reasons why outflows occur day to day.

“What I think is maybe sometimes misunderstood by the market is that if we see a day of outflows, there could be a million reasons why. It could be someone selling IBIT and buying BITA,” Jacobs said, referring to its iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF (BITA), which launched on Wednesday.

Bitcoin is trading at $64,167 at the time of writing, down 17.4% over the past month. The asset has been pressured by macroeconomic factors, including an increase in US inflation, along with the ongoing war between the US and Iran.

However, Jacobs said the volatility hasn’t impacted BlackRock’s view of Bitcoin as a global, decentralized, nonsovereign monetary alternative.

“Every asset class has volatility… we have over 450 exchange-traded funds within iShares,” said Jacobs, referring to the family of ETFs and index mutual funds managed and marketed by BlackRock.

Rather than showing weak conviction, it showed that a company can hold Bitcoin, raise capital against it and use a limited amount when cash needs arise.

Back’s argument also places the sale inside a larger shift in corporate Bitcoin finance, where companies use $BTC alongside preferred shares, debt, common equity, and market tools today.
