Total leveraged positions worth around $192 million were wiped out across major assets including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and XRP.

 What happened: The collapse in confidence around the deal triggered panic deleveraging, forcing overleveraged positions to close automatically. This created a cascading effect in which liquidations accelerated the downward pressure on prices.

Charles Schwab Enters Prediction Markets, Taking Aim at Kalshi and Polymarket

Charles Schwab, one of the largest brokerage firms in the United States, is preparing to enter the Prediction Market with Cboe Global Markets. They planned to introduce contracts that allow traders to make simple yes-or-no predictions on where the S&P 500 will finish.

This move from  Schwab has directly challenged the current dominance of Kalshi, Polymarket, Coinbase, and Robinhood.

Why Schwab Is Entering Prediction Markets Now

Over the last two years, prediction markets have grown from a niche product into a rapidly expanding trading category. Platforms such as Polymarket have processed billions of dollars in trading volume around elections, interest-rate decisions, inflation reports, and other major events.

XRP network participation plunges 50% – A hidden sign of weak demand?XRP’s network participation weakened significantly over the past two weeks as active addresses dropped from nearly 50,000 to around 25,000.

The sharp contraction suggested that fewer users interacted with the network, raising concerns about underlying demand.

Although network activity often fluctuates during periods of uncertainty, the scale of this decline stood out because it erased a substantial portion of recent engagement.

The downturn also coincided with $XRP’s struggle to establish a sustained recovery after its June sell-off.

NVT ratio painted a different picture
While active addresses declined sharply, $XRP’s Network Value to Transaction (NVT) Ratio fell to 199.75 after recording a 15.29% daily decline, suggesting transaction activity improved relative to the asset’s valuation.

A falling NVT ratio often indicates that network value has become more aligned with transaction volume.

In $XRP’s case, the decline implied that valuation pressures eased despite weaker address activity. This divergence created an interesting contrast between user participation and broader network efficiency.

Even so, the improvement in NVT did not fully offset concerns surrounding declining active addresses. Network activity remained considerably lower than it had been two weeks earlier.

The base case of $1,812 assumes continued consolidation above $1,700, moderate ETF activity, and no major catalyst before July 1.

As for the bearish signal, GPT warns that a loss of support in the $1,650 to $1,680 range amid weaker risk appetite could accelerate selling into a 5% to 7% decline.
