$XRP remains in a consolidative phase after holding the $1.20 support zone. This indicates mild stability, but the market is still facing downward pressure. The price is holding key support levels, yet overhead resistance and longer-term moving averages continue to limit upside potential.

Ripple Price Analysis: The $USDT Pair

On the $XRP/$USDT chart, $XRP is trading around $1.32, just above the $1.20 support zone that has held over the past couple of months. Meanwhile, the RSI has dropped below the 50 level, which indicates that momentum is still bearish. The asset also still remains beneath both the 100-day and 200-day moving averages, located around the $1.60 and $2.00 marks, respectively.

The resistance zone around $1.75 to $1.80 continues to cap upside. A move above that area would be needed to validate a broader bullish attempt, accompanied by a breakout above the large descending channel and the key moving averages. Yet, if this scenario fails, a breakdown below the $1.20 support zone would be expected, which could lead to a prolonged bear market in the coming months.
The $BTC Pair

On the daily chart of the $XRP/$BTC pair, $XRP is hovering near 1,970 sats. It is currently testing the 1,950-2,000 sats support zone, which has held the price on multiple occasions over the past few months. As with the $XRP/$USDT pair, the key 100-day and 200-day moving averages are located above the current market price and will act as dynamic resistance levels around 2,100 and 2,200 sats. With the market also trending lower inside the broad descending channel, the overall market structure is still bearish.

Soluna Holdings, a green Bitcoin mining firm, has acquired a West Texas-based Biscoe wind farm for $53M to scale its vertical integration.

The miner reported that this was part of its ‘Project Dorothy,’ which aims to help increase its renewable energy sources and green data centers. The move is expected to generate $20 million to $24.4 million in annual revenue.

Since last September, Soluna has been mining an average of nine BTC per month. Apart from BTC mining operations and AI data centers, Soluna also provides hosting services to other miners.

Interestingly, AI data centers have become a new lifeline for most public BTC miners. Besides Soluna, other players are doubling down on the AI pivot.

Some, like Bitdeer, sold their entire BTC stash and pivoted to AI. Likewise, Core Scientific, MARA, Bitfarms, and others continue to monetize holdings to prioritize AI infrastructure ventures.

Shrinking Bitcoin miner revenue fuels AI pivot
The AI pivot has accelerated as BTC dropped by half from over $126K to below $65K in the past few months.

Notably, the 2024 halving slashed miner rewards by half to 3.125 BTC. In the next 2028 halving, the block rewards will drop further to 1.5625 BTC; hence, miner revenue could shrink further if Bitcoin transactions do not improve.

As of early Q2 2026, the total daily miner revenue was $32 million, translating to a 50% drop from the H2 2025 high of nearly $60 million.

While this was a slight relief from the recent low of $29M seen in mid-March, the sub-sector was not out of the woods just yet.

Of these liquidations, $287 million were long and $169 million were short positions. Bitcoin’s [BTC] price drop below $66K on Thursday likely contributed to the short-term selling across the market.

Bitcoin’s funding rate also fell into negative territory on Thursday, but the same had climbed to +0.0008% at press time. The liquidation and funding rate data from CoinGlass revealed that BTC recorded the highest amount of liquidations in the last 24 hours, measuring $57.17 million.

According to Crypto analyst Axel Adler Jr, the Bitcoin Positioning Index indicator’s 30-day moving average reached +3.0 on 17 March. The indicator measures the aggressiveness of market participants in the derivatives market.

The +3.0 reading highlighted bullish positioning, but BTC’s price correction over the last two weeks brought the positioning index back below zero. This hinted at more aggressive bearish positioning.

The crypto market is heavily influenced by Bitcoin trends. A return above zero for the Positioning Index’s 30-day moving average would be a positive sign for crypto bulls.

As things stand, short positioning is still dominant across the market.

Futures liquidations have been increasingly dominated by long liquidations. The dominance of short liquidations has been absent since October 2025. This alluded to the bearish strength in the market once again.
