Slash raised $100M at a $1.4B valuation as it processes over $1B in annualized stablecoin payments for 5,000+ businesses, turning crypto into back‑office banking rails. Summary Enterprise banking platform Slash has raised $100 million in a Series C round led by Ribbit Capital, lifting its valuation to about $1.4 billion and bringing total funding to more than $160 million. The San Francisco‑based firm now serves over 5,000 corporate clients with a bundle that includes stablecoin payments, corporate and virtual accounts, expense management and real‑time payouts, and says annualized stablecoin volume has already crossed $1 billion less than a year after launch. Slash plans to use the new capital to double down on its “bank account as financial command center” pitch, aiming squarely at the same treasury and payout rails that have drawn players like Ripple, which agreed to acquire stablecoin payments platform Rail for $200 million in 2025. Slash’s $100M round and stablecoin push Slash Financial, a business banking platform built for online‑first companies, has secured $100 million in Series C funding at a roughly $1.4 billion valuation as stablecoin payments quietly become core B2B plumbing rather than a side experiment. The round was led by Ribbit Capital with participation from Khosla Ventures and Goodwater Capital, while existing backers New Enterprise Associates and Y Combinator joined for what Slash said is their fourth investment in the company. In a company blog announcing the deal, Slash CEO Victor Cardenas wrote that the team is “building the world’s most powerful business banking platform,” positioning the product as a “financial command center” that lets companies manage bank accounts, cards, payouts and crypto rails from one dashboard. Slash says it now serves “more than 5,000” corporate clients ranging from startups to larger online merchants, offering features such as multi‑currency accounts, virtual cards, expense management and real‑time local payments.

Netflix Drops 10% After Q2 Forecast Misses While Bitcoin Bulls Target $78K


Netflix and Bitcoin moved in opposite directions on Friday, with weak corporate guidance dragging one lower while crowded short positioning and calmer geopolitics pushed the other sharply higher.

Netflix shares dropped nearly 10% in Friday trading after the streaming company issued softer-than-expected second-quarter guidance and said co-founder Reed Hastings plans to leave the board in June when his term expires. The stock traded near $97.20, down $10.59 or 9.82%, even though the company delivered a stronger first quarter than analysts had expected.

The company reported $12.25 billion in revenue, above the $12.17 billion consensus estimate, while adjusted earnings per share came in at $1.23, well above the expected $0.76. Revenue also rose from $10.54 billion a year earlier. Still, the market focused on the weaker forward outlook rather than the quarterly beat.

Netflix Sells Off as Outlook Outweighs Q1 Beat

Netflix’s slide stands out even more when compared with its peers over the last six months. The performance chart shows Netflix down about 17.88%, while Paramount Skydance was down about 25.82% over the same stretch. Warner Bros. Discovery, by contrast, was up roughly 50.19%.

The market appears to be pricing in concern about near-term growth momentum after the company lost the contest for Warner Bros. Discovery and reset expectations with weaker second-quarter guidance.

Additionally, Hastings’ planned departure from the board removes a long-standing figure closely tied to Netflix’s transformation from a DVD-by-mail business into a streaming giant. While the board change did not drive the entire move, it added to a session already dominated by a cautious read on the company’s outlook.

Bitcoin is now printing green candlesticks on the weekly and daily timeframes, and this raises the question of whether the worst has already passed or maybe the floor is still months away.

An interesting analysis of Bitcoin’s price action over a multi-year time span pushes back against the growing optimism, pointing to a pattern that has held for more than a decade and suggesting that time, not just price, may still be working against a confirmed bottom.

Every Bitcoin Bear Market Has Taken Over A Year To Bottom

Going back to 2013, Bitcoin’s bear market cycles have followed a consistent sequence when it comes to the one metric that matters most, which is time. Each Bitcoin bear cycle differed slightly in severity, but the time requirement it took for it to end was surprisingly consistent.

According to a technical chart noted by a crypto analyst that goes by the name Xremin, the bear market in 2024 stretched to around 426 days before a bottom formed. The 2017 cycle followed with roughly 363 days, while the bear market after 2021’s rally took about 376 days to complete.

The current cycle, however, is only about 190 days into its correction phase. This is, of course, taking Bitcoin’s peak above $126,000 in October 2025 as the starting point of the bear market correction. That places it at just over half the duration seen in previous cycles.

Bitcoin is already down about 43% from that all-time high. However, calling a bottom at this stage, according to the analyst, would mean assuming that Bitcoin has suddenly broken a 13-year pattern without any clear structural change to justify it.

Can The Bear Market Already Be In?

Calling the bottom at this point in time would mean that this cycle has resolved itself in under half the time it has taken every single previous cycle to find its floor. However, the bull case for a

Founding partner at Castle Island Ventures Nic Carter has laid out what he sees as three plausible paths for Bitcoin as the industry moves toward post-quantum cryptography: freeze vulnerable early coins, leave them untouched and accept the consequences, or pursue a legal “salvage” process that avoids a protocol-level confiscation.

The debate matters because, in Carter’s framing, roughly 1.7 million BTC in old pay-to-pubkey outputs could become exposed if Bitcoin eventually deprecates elliptic curve signatures and a cryptographically relevant quantum computer arrives.

The Third Option In Bitcoin’s Satoshi Coin Battle
In a post on X, Carter argued that the Overton window around quantum risk has shifted quickly. What was recently treated as a fringe concern, he wrote, is now increasingly being discussed as an eventual engineering and governance problem for Bitcoin itself. “The thing about the PQ transition is, it’s impossible as a Bitcoiner to claim that this protocol is cutting edge technology if Bitcoin, a monetary system predicated entirely on cryptography, is a laggard,” he wrote, adding that betting the fate of the network on the hope that the technology does not advance would be both reckless and embarrassing.

From there, Carter sketched the upgrade path he expects. After a soft fork, Bitcoin would likely move through an intermediate phase in which users could sign with existing ECC-based schemes or with new post-quantum signatures. Eventually, he wrote, legacy signatures such as ECDSA and Schnorr would be disallowed entirely. That transition, in his telling, is the easy part. The harder question comes later: what to do with coins that never migrate.

He framed that dispute as a clash between two camps already taking shape. On one side are institutions, custodians, exchanges, and fiduciaries that would view a freeze of non-migrated
