In terms of capital flows, crypto and equity markets continue to exhibit strong co-movement.

Following the Q1 correction, during which both equities and crypto posted notable losses, Q2 has opened with a clear rebound in risk appetite.

The S&P500 has gained over 12% and recently reached a new all-time high, while Bitcoin [BTC] has risen more than 16%, indicating a broad return to risk-on positioning.

This, however, raises the question of whether accelerating capital inflows into risk assets are contributing to bubble-like conditions. As shown in the chart below, over $2.6 trillion in S&P500 call options were traded on the 6th of May, marking a new all-time high.

In addition, call options accounted for nearly 60% of all S&P500 options activity, the highest share observed in at least seven years.

The leader was quite obvious but let's break down the numbers.
Crypto prices marked gains over the past week, including a multi-month high for the market leader, and some of the reasons are the return of demand for spot ETFs tracking their performance.

Here are the precise numbers from last week: the big gainers and those who didn’t see any action.

The first and largest crypto ETFs were the undisputed leaders in terms of attracting funds last week, despite the rough ending. The financial vehicles saw net inflows of $532 million on Monday, $467 million on Tuesday, and $46 million on Wednesday when the asset peaked at almost $83,000.

Its price momentum began to fade at the end of the business week, coinciding with substantial net outflows of $277 million on Thursday and $146 million on Friday. Nevertheless, the total weekly inflow stood at an impressive $622.75 million, up from the previous week’s $154 million.

The cumulative total net inflows have risen to well over $59 billion as of Friday’s market close.
The spot Ethereum ETFs, on the other hand, had only one day in the red, but it was painful. After pulling $61 million on Monday, $97.6 million on Tuesday, $11.6 million on Wednesday, and a more modest $3.6 million on Friday, the funds saw a significant withdrawal of over $103.5 million on Thursday, according to SoSoValue data.

Nevertheless, the week ended well in the green, with net inflows of over $70 million. However, it still couldn’t offset the losses seen from the previous week, which ended on May 1, when investors pulled out over $82 million from the funds.

That claim fits the current market, but the real benefit will depend on how widely pools and miners adopt the protocol. Foundry and AntPool are among the largest Bitcoin mining pools by hashrate. Their role gives the working group more market weight than earlier protocol efforts. Foundry controls nearly 30% of global pool hashrate, while AntPool controls about 17.7%, according to Hashrate Index data cited in recent reports. Their participation could help Stratum V2 move from technical work toward broader use. Privacy token Zcash ($ZEC) is up in the last 24 hours, taking its weekly gain to 65% according to CoinMarketCap data.

The recent rise has caused Zcash to surpass Cardano ($ADA)'s market capitalization and it is currently the 11th largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization with a valuation of $9.824 billion, while Cardano sits in the 12th spot of largest cryptocurrencies with a market cap of $9.81 billion.

$ZEC has risen over the past month following Multicoin Capital's disclosure of a "significant" position in the privacy coin. Prominent crypto fund Multicoin Capital disclosed it had been building a large Zcash position since February, saying that $ZEC's shielded transactions could offer security against increased government efforts to audit and tax visible crypto holdings.

The company held 9,542 Bitcoin at the end of March, with a reported cost basis of about $1.13 billion and fair value of about $647 million. Trump Media also held around 756 million Cronos tokens. These were linked to its Crypto.com partnership, which cryptonews previously reported as part of a wider Cronos treasury push involving Trump Media, Crypto.com, and Yorkville. Revenue reached $871,200 in Q1, up 6% from the same period last year.
The figure included media revenue and fees from Truth. Fi ETF products. Despite the loss, Trump Media reported $17.9 million in positive operating cash flow and $2.1 billion in financial assets. The company said it is still building its platform and financial products.

ADA Bullish Prediction: Can Cardano Repeat Its Historic 240% Rally?


Aside from a few impressive but relatively brief upticks during the late 2024/early 2025 rally, Cardano’s native token has mostly underperformed in the last cycle.

While many other large-cap altcoins, alongside the market leader, managed to break their previous all-time highs last year, $ADA remained far from such a feat. Its subsequent decline was also quite painful, as it now trades over 90% below its record price seen in 2021. It’s also out of the top 10 alts by market cap, slipping to the 15th spot on CoinGecko.

However, popular analyst Ali Martinez noted that it has maintained a key level that has historically led to impressive price rallies, including one of triple digits.

$ADA to Bouce by 240%?
The support level in question is at $0.25, according to the analyst. In early 2023, $ADA managed to rebound swiftly from it after the major correction at the time, and jumped by 85% in a relatively short period of time. Although that’s an impressive feat, the September 2023 rally of 243% was even more profound after a successful bounce from that line.

Martinez noted that the asset stands firm above that level now, currently trading $0.27 after it was rejected at $0.30 earlier this week. His short-term target is set at $0.36, while the secondary, more macro target, is all the way up to $0.53. It’s worth noting that $ADA hasn’t seen such high levels in over half a year.
