#Nexus Core Systems has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Moroccan authorities to develop a $1.28 billion artificial intelligence facility. Summary Nexus Core Systems signed a $1.28 billion MoU with Moroccan authorities at GITEX Africa 2026 to launch the Nexus AI Factory Platform. The project will roll out in two phases, combining an HPC data center, Center of Excellence, and innovation hub, with 36 MW capacity and 125 jobs by 2027. The initiative supports Morocco’s Digital 2030 strategy and is backed by technologies from Nvidia and Naver Cloud. The agreement was formalized during GITEX Africa 2026, held from April 7 to 9 in Marrakech. It brings together Nexus Core Systems with the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, the Ministry of Investment, Convergence and Public Policy Evaluation, and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development. The deal initiates the first phase of the “Nexus AI Factory Platform,” a project positioned as a key step in Morocco’s push to strengthen its role in advanced digital infrastructure. Integrated AI infrastructure and ecosystem According to Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition, the facility will combine a high-performance computing data center with a Center of Excellence focused on training and skills transfer. It will also house an innovation hub dedicated to next-generation AI applications. The design will introduce what officials describe as an integrated, sovereign infrastructure capable of supporting both domestic needs and international operations. The broader roadmap also includes plans for a next-generation data center near Casablanca, with long-term ambitions to scale capacity significantly while relying on renewable energy sources. A major dispute has erupted in the crypto space between Justin Sun and World Liberty Financial (WLFI), raising fresh concerns over transparency in DeFi protocols.
Justin Sun publicly accused WLFI of embedding a hidden blacklist function in its token smart contract, claiming it allows the team to freeze, restrict, or effectively confiscate user assets without notice or consent. He described the mechanism as a “trapdoor disguised as openness” and said he himself is the “first and largest victim,” with his wallet allegedly frozen since September 2025, holding around 545 million WLFI tokens.
WLFI quickly pushed back, rejecting the allegations and accusing Sun of “playing the victim” while engaging in misconduct. The project even hinted at legal action, responding with: “See you in court.”
The dispute comes amid WLFI’s broader market pressure, with its token recently hitting record lows and concerns growing over governance practices and a reported $75M stablecoin borrowing move backed by its own token.

Aave DAO approves $25 million Aave Labs funding grant in binding 'Aave Will Win' vote

An onchain proposal funding the first piece of the "Aave Will Win" framework passed Sunday, with 522,780 AAVE in favor and 175,310 against, or roughly 75% support.

The vote approves a $25 million stablecoin grant to Aave Labs, alongside 75,000 AAVE (about $6.8 million) vesting linearly over 48 months from the DAO's Ecosystem Reserve.

The Aave Chan Initiative cast the largest dissenting vote at 166,200 AAVE, in line with founder Marc Zeller's prior opposition.

Execution is scheduled for Monday afternoon, after which funds begin streaming to an Aave Labs-controlled address.

The Aave DAO on Sunday approved the first binding piece of founder Stani Kulechov's "Aave Will Win" framework, ratifying a $25 million stablecoin grant and 75,000 AAVE (worth about $6.8 million) token allocation to development firm Aave Labs.
