7 Democrats seen as 'key' to advancing CLARITY Act: GalaxyCrypto investment firm Galaxy Digital said seven Democratic lawmakers on the US Senate Banking Committee could be key to advancing the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act when it goes to markup on Thursday, sending it to the Senate for a vote.

In an X post on Sunday, Galaxy Digital labeled Democratic lawmakers Ruben Gallego and Angela Alsobrooks as "constructive/pro-framework" when it comes to crypto. Four other lawmakers are seen as "deal-makers," while one lawmaker is seen as "mixed."

"If Democrats vote for the bill in markup, likelihood of ultimate passage on the Senate floor increases significantly," Galaxy Digital said.

Speaking in an interview shared via X on May 9, Saylor addressed the market reaction to Strategy's recent earnings call, where the company said it was prepared to sell Bitcoin, if needed, to fund dividends on its STRC preferred instrument. The remark drew attention because Saylor has long been associated with the phrase "never sell your Bitcoin." According to Saylor, the more precise formulation is that Strategy does not intend to be a "net seller" of Bitcoin. "I'm very famous for saying, never sell your Bitcoin. And that's why the internet went crazy when we said we might sell it," Saylor said. "But if I was being more precise, I'd say never be a net seller of Bitcoin. American Bankers Attempt Last Ditch Effort To Kill Crypto Market Structure Bill Regarding Stablecoins

American Bankers Association CEO Rob Nichols urged bank leaders to lobby against a stablecoin yield provision in the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act ahead of Thursday’s Senate markup.

American Bankers Association (ABA) CEO Rob Nichols sent an emergency Sunday letter to every bank CEO in the country, urging “immediate engagement” against what he called a stablecoin yield loophole in the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, days before a Senate Banking Committee markup scheduled for Thursday.

The letter, dated May 11 — Mother’s Day — and addressed to ABA member bank CEOs, asked bank leaders to contact their senators and mobilize their employees to do the same before the committee convenes for a scheduled May 14 executive session on the bill.

“I am reaching out to make every bank leader in this country aware of an urgent advocacy fight that requires your immediate engagement,” Nichols wrote, according to the letter. He warned that, without further changes, “we believe the current proposal would unnecessarily incentivize the flight of bank deposits into payment stablecoins, putting both economic growth and financial stability at risk”.

The ABA’s emergency outreach came hours after the Senate Banking Committee on Friday announced plans to mark up H.R. 3633, the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act of 2025 — a bipartisan bill that would establish a comprehensive federal regulatory framework for digital assets, resolve longstanding jurisdictional questions between the SEC and CFTC, and set trading rules for crypto markets.

The timing of the letter drew sharp public pushback from Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal, who posted on X that the ABA’s alarm bells were misplaced.

Ripple raises $200 million from Neuberger Berman to expand its Ripple Prime platformRipple’s prime-brokerage unit announced Monday it closed a $200 million funding agreement with global investment firm Neuberger Berman to expand the margin it offers investors to trade in traditional and digital asset markets.

In its announcement, Ripple also said the funding will help support the ongoing growth of its multi-asset prime brokerage platform, Ripple Prime, citing increasing client demand for its institutional-grade services and margin financing solutions.

The crypto firm said that since it acquired Hidden Road and rebranded it as Ripple Prime in 2025, this platform’s revenue has tripled year over year. Neuberger Berman has approximately $570 billion in total assets under management (AUM).

Ripple acquired prime-brokerage Hidden Road for $1.25 billion, one of the largest deals in the history of the cryptocurrency industry. The company later agreed to buy treasury-management software provider GTreasury for $1 billion.

“Dependable access to financing and balance sheet strength are critical to institutional participants in today’s dynamic markets,” said Noel Kimmel, President of Ripple Prime. “This facility enables us to grow alongside our clients by delivering increased margin capacity, greater responsiveness, and improved capital efficiency.”

Kimmel said that apart from the funding, Neuberger Specialty Finance brings deep expertise in asset-based finance and a strong understanding of Ripple Prime’s services and business model.

The Math Behind the $22,000 Target Is Specific – and Demanding

Lee’s ratio math is straightforward. The ETH/BTC long-term average sits near 0.048. The 2021 cycle peak hit 0.087.

Applied to a $250,000 Bitcoin price Lee’s stated fair value, those ratios produce ETH targets of roughly $12,000 and $21,750, respectively.

The $22,000 figure is essentially the bull case of the bull case: peak ratio, peak BTC assumption, both arriving at the same time.

The AI-blockchain demand component is where Lee diverges from a pure ratio trade. His argument: AI agents operating autonomously in the global economy will need a payment layer that functions 24/7 without correspondent banking dependencies.

Ethereum’s uninterrupted uptime record and decentralized validator set make it the default candidate. Lee also cited stablecoin transaction volumes surpassing Visa’s annual throughput, a claim that holds up. Ethereum-based stablecoin volumes (USDC, USDT, DAI combined) ran approximately $220 trillion annualized in 2025, against Visa’s $12.2 trillion.

That data point is not speculative.

On supply, Lee’s position at BitMine adds direct context. The firm holds more than 4% of all circulating Ethereum and generates over $300 million annually from staking rewards, which places Lee’s bullish thesis in direct financial proximity to his institution’s balance sheet.

That conflict of interest is worth naming. It does not make the thesis wrong. It does mean the assumptions deserve scrutiny.
