A top US bank is preparing to handout up to $25,000 per victim of two data breaches to settle a class-action lawsuit.Flagstar Bank, N.A., has agreed to a proposed $31.5 million settlement to compensate the 2.18 million Americans whose personal information was comprised in data breaches that occurred more than four years ago.Flagstar says that in January 2021 hackers infiltrated a file sharing platform that is used by the bank and accessed the personally identifiable information of more than a million consumers. In a separate incident in December 2021, the bank says cyber criminals infiltrated Flagstar’s network and accessed the personally identifiable information of another approximate one million individuals.A class-action lawsuit was filed against Flagstar on behalf of the impacted bank consumers in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.Settlement class members are eligible to receive up to $25,000 for documented losses that arose as a result of the data breach, including fees for attorneys, accountants and credit repair services.An alternative cash payment of an estimated $60, or $100 if a resident of California, will also be provided, where settlement class members will not be required to provide proof of losses.The deadline to submit a claim form is August 11th. There’s a 53% Chance the XRP Broadening Wedge Structure Lifts Prices to $11
There’s a 53% chance the XRP descending broadening wedge structure lifts prices to the double-digit range.

XRP remains under pressure after falling 11.6% in the last two weeks. Despite the recent decline, prominent market commentator EGRAG Crypto believes the asset is still following a descending broadening wedge pattern that could eventually lead to a strong upward move.

Key Points

XRP has dropped 11.6% since May 14, trading within a descending broadening wedge pattern.

The price formed deeper lows at $1.61, $1.37, and $1.1 between April 2025 and February 2026, forming the lower trendline of the pattern.

EGRAG Crypto says there is a 53% that the pattern eventually sends XRP toward the $7 to $11 range.

XRP would have to first breach the structure’s upper trendline at $3 to soar upward.

The $1.11 acts as critical support, and XRP could see a possible drop to $0.32 if it fails.

Ethereum [$ETH] has been the focus of attention in the stablecoin space lately. According to data from Dune Analytics, Ethereum manages roughly $190 billion of the approximately $322 billion stablecoin market.

This indicates that about 55% of all stablecoins are held by Ethereum. Additionally, only $60 billion is handled by all other blockchains combined, compared to roughly $90 billion handled by TRON [TRX].

In fact, the entire supply nearly doubled in just 24 months, and Ethereum’s market share held steady. Remarking on the same, Leon Waidmann—Head of Research at Lisk—noted,

Stablecoins picked their settlement layer a long time ago.

$ETH price action raises eyebrows

This coincided with Ethereum [$ETH] trading around $2,116.40 after a drop of 4.4% in the past 24 hours.

Needless to say, this is startling, though, because since February 2026, $ETH has been trading below $2445. Even with these sideways and stagnant moves, $ETH continues to rule the stablecoin market.

Factors behind $ETH dominating the stablecoin space

This may be due to a number of factors. For example, when a company like Circle, Fidelity, or BlackRock transfers $50 million, they don’t care if the gas fee is $5.00 or $0.05. Unchangeable security is what matters to them.

Additionally, it is mathematically the most costly blockchain in the world to attack, with over 39.2 million $ETH staked to secure the network.

Even though a chain like Base or Solana [SOL] may handle millions of quick retail transactions every day, the real value that is parked there is not that great.

It’s quite normal to believe that the network is losing traction when the price remains at $2,445 without any movement. However, the network’s usefulness is not determined by the value of the $ETH asset only.

Traders also became more defensive once larger speculative wallets started reducing altcoin risk beneath softer market continuation.

Trader Evaded later closed HYPE and Zcash [ZEC] longs worth roughly $2.85 million and $2.36 million after holding positions for several days.

However, the wallet also absorbed nearly $591,000 in Ethereum [ETH] losses before shifting aggressively into a 15x leveraged Bitcoin short.

That position later expanded toward roughly 990 BTC, worth nearly $74.84 million, while unrealized profits climbed beyond $783,000 beneath weakening market conditions.
