What is Parcl (PRCL)

1. Project Introduction
Parcl is the first decentralized real estate derivatives protocol built on the Solana network to create a liquid market around real estate, allowing users to invest in real properties through price indexes. Parcl is the real estate field of RWA track, and RWA is also a popular section in 2024. RWA (Real World Assets) refers to assets with actual value that are tokenized through blockchain technology. Owning tokens means that you have ownership of the corresponding assets in the real world, which can be used for on-chain transactions such as lending, leasing, buying, and selling. Parcl is currently available in 10 U.S. cities including New York, San Francisco, and Chicago, and will also launch real estate index products in cities such as Hong Kong, London, and Jakarta in the future.

Trevor Bacon // Founder & CEO: Before Parcl, he was a portfolio manager at several hedge funds focused on software, payments, and internet. He was a VP at Barclays.
Kellan Grenier // Co-Founder, COO & Head of Strategy: He has extensive experience in building and leading technical teams, with a focus on Web2 and Web3 projects. He is a former researcher at Yale University and won Y50K, Yale’s annual business plan competition.
Jason Lewris // Co-Founder & Chief Data Officer: Before joining Parcl, he was a senior data scientist at Microsoft, specializing in neural network architectures for NLP tasks. He was also a data scientist and NLP expert at Deloitte.
Funding: On March 1, 2022, Parcl raised $4.1 million in a seed funding round, with participation from Archetype, FJ Labs, Dragonfly, ParaFi Capital, Shima Capital, Solana Ventures, Slow Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Tribe Capital, and Not Boring Capital. On May 21, 2022, it completed a strategic funding round, raising $7.5 million from investors including Archetype, Dragonfly, Solana Ventures, Hack VC, and Big Brain Holdings.

Rules are announced each season. In the first quarter of 2024, 7.5% of the total token supply was involved, with details as follows: 5,000,000 PRCL tokens (0.5% of supply) were distributed to core Parcl community members, and 4,000,000 PRCL tokens (0.40% of supply) were allocated to HOA members. 1,000,000 PRCL tokens (0.10% of supply) were distributed to eligible holders of the Mad Lads NFTs. In the second quarter of 2024, 6% of the total supply was allocated, amounting to 60,000,000 PRCL tokens, with 4% distributed linearly according to the S1 leaderboard, and an additional 2% allocated to S1 traders.
