VitaDAO is a decentralised organisation focused on addressing the critical funding gaps associated with early-stage longevity research. The project has set its sights on two primary objectives: to mobilise community resources for funding and to creatively structure the governance of longevity research initiatives. By utilising blockchain technology, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and innovative financial instruments like algorithmic automated market makers (AMMs), VitaDAO strives to create a transparent environment where groundbreaking research can flourish.

The lack of early-stage funding has long been a bottleneck in the biopharmaceutical industry, leading to delays in developing promising treatments and therapeutic solutions. VitaDAO aims to mitigate these challenges by introducing a unique governance structure that allows community members—who are also stakeholders—to vote on research proposals and direct the organisation’s funding priorities.
