The PRIME Chain: A Decentralised Staking Layer

Launched on February 20, 2025, Apex Fusion's PRIME Chain serves as the primary Layer 1 blockchain within its ecosystem. This network is built using the Ouroboros proof-of-stake protocol, renowned for its energy efficiency and scalability. With a decentralised network of over 130 stake pool operators (SPOs), the PRIME Chain not only secures the network but also contributes to its overall decentralisation through community engagement. Its design aims to significantly reduce gas fees and latency while maintaining compatibility with existing Ethereum tools and ecosystems, facilitating easier adoption for developers already familiar with the EVM.

2. VECTOR: In contrast, VECTOR takes a UTXO-based approach as a Layer 2 solution. It is crafted for high-speed, low-cost transactions, leveraging the efficiency of Bitcoin-like transactions to support micropayments and enterprise-scale applications that require reliable and quick transaction processing.

Both NEXUS and VECTOR are interconnected through the Reactor Bridge, a cross-chain protocol developed to allow seamless asset transfers and liquidity pooling between UTXO and account-based networks.
