Bernstein Reveals Its Bitcoin (BTC) Growth Forecast! "First $150,000, and then..."
Bitcoin (BTC) dropped to around $78,000 yesterday after climbing above $81,000, fueling discussions of a rally. Global investment bank Bernstein remains long-term bullish on Bitcoin but has adjusted its price forecast timelines.
According to Bernstein's analysis, analysts expect Bitcoin to surpass its all-time high again this cycle, reaching $150,000 by mid-2027. They forecast the next major cycle peak could occur in 2029 at around $300,000. This outlook is based on "trade on debasement," where investors turn to scarce assets like Bitcoin and gold to hedge against the devaluation of the dollar and other fiat currencies.
The base scenario predicts a price of approximately $125,000 by the end of 2026, $150,000 in mid-2027, and $300,000 in 2029. However, analysts also see a potential for faster growth if the "asset price swap" narrative strengthens and institutional capital flows more aggressively into Bitcoin. In this accelerated scenario, Bitcoin could hit $200,000 by mid-2027 and $500,000 by 2029.
Bernstein maintains its long-term view that Bitcoin could reach around $1 million by the end of 2033. Separately, the bank recently lowered its price target for the Bitcoin treasury company Strategy from $450 to $350 while keeping its "Outperform" rating.
