美国大选背后:加密「智囊团」和创新高的加密「钞能力」

而影响加密砝码重量,除了不断壮大的年轻加密选民们,还有主动出击的加密“钞能力”和不可忽视的加密“智囊团”。

上周,Ripple 宣布向加密货币超级政治行动委员会(PAC) Fairshake 捐赠 2500 万美元后,a16z 也宣布将向 Fairshake 捐赠 2500 万美元。

美国大选背后,创新高的加密“钞能力”

2022 年的中期选举期间,彼时美国最大加密交易所之一 FTX 的创始人 Sam Bankman-Fried (现已被判重罪)以数千万美元的政治捐赠,成为影响美国政治生态的加密最核心力量。

Sam Bankman-Fried 入狱后, 2024 年的美国总统选举中,Coinbase、Ripple 等加密企业以及a16z等支持加密的风投机构,接棒 FTX 和 SBF,试图通过“钞能力”为加密行业争取话语权。

Ripple、a16z、Coinbase 等持续注资的加密 PAC Fairshake 已成为 2024 年加密货币行业的主要政治影响力工具。

在 Ripple 和a16z 宣布向 Fairshake 累计注资 5000 万美元之前,据消费者权益组织 Public Citizen 于 5 月 6 日发布的一份报告称,Fairshake 及其附属的两个 PAC (Defend American Jobs 和 Protect Progress)已为 2024 年大选筹集了超过 1.02 亿美元,彼时这一数据已在所有 PAC 中排名第三。

而根据彭博社更早前的报道,加密行业为 2020 年的美国大选的捐赠金融仅为 8300 万美元。虽然离 2024 年美国总统选举日还有数月时间,加密行业的政治捐赠金额早已大幅超越上一个选举周期。

Fairshake 筹集的过亿美元资金中,Ripple 贡献了约 5000 万美元。

随着a16z 宣布将 Fairshake 捐赠 2500 万美元,a16z 的捐赠金额预计会达到 4700 万美元,而 Coinbase 捐赠了 2350 万美元。此外,Jump Crypto 也捐赠了 500 万美元、Circle 和 Kraken 分别投捐赠了 100 万美元。

还有一些加密行业知名人士也参与了捐赠。

Winklevoss Capital Management 背后的双胞胎亿万富翁高管 Cameron 和 Tyler Winklevoss,总共捐赠了 500 万美元。

而更激进的加密政治捐赠背后,也是加密企业面对美国监管机构愈发严苛的政策下,不得已的生存之战。

2024 年美国大选的加密捐赠主力军,也是受到美国监管影响最大的一批机构,Ripple、Coinbase、Kraken 等都曾被指控违反证券法。

虽然 Kraken 选择了接受 3000 万美元罚款达成和解。但 Ripple、Coinbase 等机构还在与美国监管机构斗争。

近期,Ripple 就美 SEC 要求法官对其处以 20 亿美元罚款动议提交反对意见,要求法院对其处以不超过 1000 万美元的罚款。加密交易所 Coinbase 被美 SEC 指控违反证券法的诉讼还未完结。

相比与通过富有的加密企业和投资机构获取资金,Coinbase 发起的加密游说组织 Stand With Crypto 也将推出针对美国大选的 PAC,则从其 44 万名成员那里筹集资金,以支持对加密货币友好的政客。

目前其 Stand With Crypto 官网显示,有近 90 万名加密用户为其提供了超过 8700 万美元,最大的一笔捐款则来自近期 Moopay 捐赠的 100 万美元。

而根据追踪美国政治资金数据的非盈利组织 OpenSecrets 的数据,美国最大的政治捐赠者中还有多位加密行业支持者。

目前捐款额度最大的是美国美国亿万富翁,交易巨头 Susquehanna International Group(SIG)联合创始人 Jeffrey Yass,它在 2023-2024 年间共捐赠了 7000 多万美元。

2022 年 7 月初,Jeffrey Yass 曾向加密政治组织“Crypto Freedom PAC”捐赠了 100 枚比特币(BTC),当时价值超过 190 万美元,创下了联邦选举委员会记录的最大的以比特币计价的政治捐款。Crypto Freedom PAC 相关负责人 Joe Kildea 对于 Jeffrey Yass 的加密捐赠曾表示,可能缘于 Crypto Freedom PAC 支持反对拜登政府对加密货币监管的候选人。

此外,a16z 创始人 Marc Andreessen 也向本届美国总统大选捐赠超 1100 万美元。

预计将有更多的加密捐赠涌现。Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey 近期也宣布其团队将筹集 1 亿美元来发起一场运动,以“确保下一任美国总统支持比特币。

胜率超 80% ,加密“钞能力”作用初显

据 Public Citizen 的报告统计来看,在最富有的加密 PAC Fairshake 及其附属 PAC 介入且现已结束的 2024 年六场初选中,只有一名加密货币支持的候选人失败,胜率超 80% 。

其中,为反对 Katie Porter 竞选加利福尼亚州参议员,Fairshake 斥资 1000 万美元投放广告,最终 Katie Porter 败选。

而未来几个月,Fairshake 及其附属 PAC 支持的另外 11 名候选人将参加党内初选,部分候选人已拿到了超 300 万美元支持。

Fairshake 还承诺在俄亥俄州和蒙大拿州等战场州的大选参议院竞选中投入资金,而这被认为对于确保参议院多数席位至关重要。

Coinbase 的发起加密游说组织“Stand With Crypto”,筹款资金也部分用于举办加密活动,以近距离接触 2024 年美国总统大选的候选人,以渗透对加密有利的观念。

2023 年 12 月,共和党的 Asa Hutchinson 和 Vivek Ramaswamy,以及民主党 Dean Phillips 在“Stand With Crypto”活动上对加密行业进行了交流,并与加密媒体 CoinDesk 进行了互动。

Bailey 还提到了提交给特朗普的一项行政命令,该命令将在特朗普重新掌权的第一天签署,重点是加密货币问题,但没有提供进一步细节。

在特朗普的加密进击下,拜登竞选集团队也在积极的寻找加密智囊团。据 The Block 透露,拜登竞选团队近期开始接触一些加密行业专家,其中包括拜登过往拒绝的加密人士,以寻求对其加密政策进行指导。
