Lido on Solana smart contract update to V2 in the middle of November

11/02 04:24

P2P Validator, founding team of liquid staking protocol Lido, tweeted that Lido on Solana smart contract update to V2, taking place in the middle of November. Validators will not need to set withdraw authority to Lido anymore. They will receive block rewards and staking rewards in SOL (instead of stSOL) directly to their accounts. There will be no need for 100% commission nodes, so node operators can use their public node in the Lido set (or make their existing Lido node public) and decrease the costs. As soon as validators can use their public nodes, the maximum commission for the validator to stay in the set will not be more than 5%.
