Ethereum account abstraction proposal EIP-4337 adds signature aggregation, reducding the data cost for rollups

According to a recent tweet by Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, the Ethereum account abstraction proposal EIP-4337, which he co-sponsored in September 2021, has recently released a new version, adding signature aggregation including the BLS signature algorithm. The signature aggregation feature allows builders and batch submitters to also aggregate signatures (eg. BLS, later with SNARKs), greatly reducing the data that goes on chain. Vitalik Buterin said that they are narrowing down toward an actual path for account abstraction. The newly added signature aggregation function in this release can reduce the data cost for rollups, which will also be one of the driving forces for the adoption of ERC-4337.
