Over 400 Ships Waiting in the Strait of Hormuz During US-Iran Negotiations

On June 23, the Financial Times reported on June 22 that more than 400 vessels are anchored in the outer waters on the eastern side of the Strait of Hormuz, awaiting the full reopening of this energy transport route following negotiations between Iran and the United States. Due to the incomplete implementation of ceasefire arrangements and related security mechanisms, the global shipping industry remains cautious about the prospects for the complete restoration of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
