On June 1, CoinShares' latest weekly report revealed that global digital asset investment products recorded a net outflow of $1.67 billion last week, marking the third consecutive week of capital outflow and the second largest weekly outflow since 2026, only behind the week of January 23. The cumulative net outflow over the past three weeks has expanded to $4.21 billion, indicating that the risk aversion triggered by the situation in the Middle East has overshadowed the positive effects of the regulatory progress brought by the U.S. CLARITY Act. Bitcoin investment products saw a net outflow of $1.438 billion, setting a record for the largest weekly outflow this year, while Ethereum investment products experienced a net outflow of $257 million. Due to the continued withdrawal of funds, the total assets under management (AuM) for global digital assets fell from $148 billion the previous week to $141 billion, the lowest level since early April this year. The U.S. market accounted for a net outflow of $1.63 billion, making it the primary source of this round of capital withdrawal. Meanwhile, market risk appetite has significantly decreased, with the number of altcoins receiving net inflows dropping from 11 three weeks ago to just 5 currently; however, XRP, Hyperliquid (HYPE), and NEAR still recorded net inflows of $20.3 million, $10.8 million, and $7.6 million, respectively.

The Fluid lending market, treasury, DEX, and user deposits were unaffected. The team replaced the compromised keys and transferred the remaining reward funds within approximately 10 hours, but publicly stated only that reward claims were temporarily paused, without mentioning details of the private key leak or the losses.

Meanwhile, the Delta indicator, which reflects changes in market premiums (the difference between market cap growth rate and realized market cap growth rate), has been in negative territory for six consecutive months and further dipped to about -0.0013 in May. This indicator suggests that the growth rate of Bitcoin's market cap continues to lag behind the growth rate of realized market cap, indicating a contraction in market risk appetite and valuation premium. The current market exhibits a combination of 'low volatility + cooling premium,' which is not typical of an overheated bull market structure but rather resembles a consolidation phase after emotional cooling. If BTC returns above the 200-day moving average and Delta rebounds close to zero, it would indicate that the market has re-entered a risk appetite expansion cycle; conversely, if volatility releases downward and Delta continues to deteriorate, it may enter a deeper risk-averse phase. Axel Adler Jr summarized that the current market direction remains neutral, but the degree of compression is at a high level, and the probability of significant directional volatility in the future is continuously increasing.
