In its latest asset allocation report, Guolian Minsheng Securities systematically reviewed the conditions for commodity bull markets from a long-term perspective spanning over 170 years since 1850. Their conclusion is not aggressive, even somewhat restrained—this commodity cycle has not yet "completed its necessary steps."

Guolian Minsheng Securities points out that historically, true commodity bull markets often do not begin with prosperity, but rather emerge from economic downturns and ultimately complete their pricing during periods of economic overheating or even recession.

A Century of Review: True Commodity Bull Markets Last an Average of 12 Years, But Their Starting Points Are Always "Cold"

Based on David Jacks' Real Commodity Price Index and combined with the Christiano-Fitzgerald filter, Guolian Minsheng Securities conducted a long-term cycle decomposition of commodity prices since 1850, identifying five typical major commodity price cycles.

 These cycles share several highly consistent characteristics:

They last an average of approximately 11.8 years.

Adjusted for inflation, real commodity prices rise by an average of about 79%; considering inflation, the nominal increase is about 125%.

The rise is not linear but rather progresses repeatedly alongside macroeconomic fluctuations.

More importantly, the starting point of each major commodity cycle almost always corresponds to a phase of "clearing out" following an economic trough or crisis:

All accounts created on the platform would have a real human identity, a win when compared to big players like Meta and X. These platforms typically verify with emails and other means, which have proved ineffective to tackle the bot pandemic.
