Международный платежный оператор Visa объявил о запуске пилотной программы по использованию стейблкоинов для трансграничных платежей через сервис Visa Direct.

В Visa сообщили, что сервис будет ориентирован на использование партнерами стейблкоинов USDC и EURC. В частности, компании смогут пополнять свои балансы Visa Direct этими токенами, избегая дополнительной блокировки сумм в фиатной валюте. На стороне получателя средств стейблкоины будут конвертированы в местную валюту.

По мнению Visa, возможность трансграничной оплаты товаров и услуг в стейблкоинах может быть востребована у представителей малого бизнеса и фрилансеров, поскольку упрощает переводы и может защитить их сбережения от инфляции.

Планируется, что пилотный запуск сервиса Visa Direct для трансграничных платежей с ограниченным доступом для партнеров стартует в первой половине 2026 года.

Ранее генеральный директор VISA Райан Макинерни (Ryan McInerney) сообщил, что его компания за последние несколько лет обработала транзакции в стейблкоинах на общую сумму более $200 млн.
