Patreon, a platform connecting content creators with supporters, has temporarily disabled payouts due to an issue with its Payoneer system. The problem was identified on August 2 and an update is expected on Thursday. The company has also reported a separate issue causing some patron payments to be flagged as fraudulent by banks. Users have reported failures in the payments system, causing confusion for creators.
