Ripple Labs Releases Q2 Report on XRP Holdings and Debunks Misconceptions on XRP Ruling

Blockchain payments company Ripple Labs Inc has released its Q2 performance report, revealing its ownership of XRP falls into two categories: XRP in escrow and those held by the company. As of the end of June, the company held 5,551,119,094 XRP, while 41,900,000,005 XRP were subject to on-ledger escrow. The company released over one billion XRP tokens from escrow in Q2, but its total XRP holdings increased slightly from the end of Q1. Ripple also clarified that the recent XRP ruling shows XRP is not a security and protects all investors associated with the company.
