CryptoSlate previously reported on May 8 that BRC-20 tokens had reached a market cap of $1 billion due to high Bitcoin fees for miners. However, recent reports suggest that the trend may have peaked, with average fees per block dropping from six Bitcoin to one Bitcoin. As a result, BRC-20 tokens have experienced a significant drop in market cap, currently sitting at around $385 million. James Van Straten, a research analyst at CryptoSlate, is optimistic about the potential of Bitcoin as a groundbreaking technology.
