MakerDAO: DAI on Optimism increased from 30 million to 140 million in 5 days

MakerDAO tweeted that DAI on Optimism increased from 30 million to 140 million in 5 days. In addition, MakerDAO stated that about 50% of all DAI in circulation is currently held in externally owned accounts (EOAs). What that means is that about 50% of all DAI is held in users' Ethereum wallets. This metric has been on the rise over the last two years, with DAI's supply increasing by 1,600%.
