Elon Musk-Linked Shell Company Acquires Land Near Houston for Potential Chip Factory

On June 3, reports indicated that a shell company associated with Elon Musk has recently purchased property in a rural area near Houston, Texas, suggesting it may be finalizing a site for the planned $55 billion chip factory, Terafab. The Terafab project is jointly promoted by SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI, aiming to provide chip support for artificial intelligence and robotics projects, with total investments potentially reaching up to $119 billion. Land registry records show that a company named 'WIT Tech LLC' has acquired at least six plots of land in Grimes County, totaling over 6,000 acres (nearly 10 square miles), although the transaction amount has not been disclosed.
