ProCap Financial, (BRR), which calls itself the first publicly traded agentic finance firm, has begun its share repurchase program aimed at closing the discount between its stock price and net asset value (NAV).

The company said it bought 148,241 BRR shares in the open market on Feb. 20. That implies a purchase price in the area of $2.30 per share, for a total amount of roughly $341,000. It's not exactly a mammoth purchase, given the company has raised more than $750 million from investors and currently holds more than 5,000 bitcoin worth about $335 million on its balance sheet.

The company further said the shares were purchased at roughly a 35% discount to the net asset value of the bitcoin it holds.

"We were able to buy $1.00 of our stock for approximately $0.65 last week," said
Chairman and CEO Anthony Pompliano. "We plan to aggressively buy as much of our stock as we can as long as the market will sell us shares at a substantial discount to NAV."

BRR shares are modestly outperforming other bitcoin treasury companies in U.S. Monday morning trade, rising 3% to $2.42.

Michael Saylor’s Strategy added more Bitcoin [BTC] to its holdings last week!

The company acquired 2,932 BTC for about $264.1 million at an average price of $90,061 per coin, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Strategy stacks more Bitcoin!

The latest purchase took its total holdings to 712,647 BTC after a fresh round of purchases. That’s 3.2% of BTC’s total 21 million supply!

The stash, purchased at an average price of about $76,037 per bitcoin, represents a total outlay of roughly $54.2 billion, including fees.

At current market prices, the holdings are valued near $62.5 billion, so there are sizable unrealized gains.

To fund the latest acquisitions, the company tapped capital markets, raising cash through at-the-market sales of its Class A common stock and perpetual preferred shares.

Even after last week’s sales, Strategy said billions of dollars’ worth of shares remain available under these programs.

A tale as old as time

As has become routine, Strategy’s latest Bitcoin buying spree was teased before it was confirmed. On Sunday, executive chairman and co-founder Michael Saylor posted an update from the company’s Bitcoin acquisition tracker.

A day later, the meaning became clear.

This purchase comes a week after Strategy disclosed that it had bought 22,305 BTC for roughly $2.1 billion. This was at an average price of $91,519 per coin.

The purchase took the firm’s total holdings to 709,715 BTC at the time and was its largest weekly accumulation since November 2024, when Strategy added 55,500 BTC.

Accordingly, Strategy, the largest institutional Bitcoin bull, did not let the past week go to waste either, purchasing an additional 592 $BTC.

Accordingly, Strategy announced that it purchased an additional 592 million $BTC last week for approximately $39.8 million. The company’s average purchase price was $67,286 per coin.

Strategy also added that as of February 22, they held 717,722 $BTC at an average price of $76,020 per coin.

Having paid a total of $54.5 billion for Bitcoin purchases since August 2020, the company holds 3.4% of the total Bitcoin supply.

On the other hand, BitMine, the largest institutional Ethereum bull, announced last week that it had purchased an additional 51,162 $ETH.

Accordingly, BitMine added 51,162 coins last week, increasing its Ethereum treasury to 4,422,659 $ETH, valued at $1,958 per $ETH, bringing its total $ETH holdings to approximately 3.66% of the circulating supply.

Tom Lee stated, “Last week we purchased 51,162 $ETH. Bitmine is consistently buying Ethereum because we find this pullback attractive given the strengthening fundamentals. In our view, the price of $ETH does not reflect $ETH’s high use case potential and its role as the future of finance.”

The company also added that it currently holds 193 $BTC and $691 million in cash.
