The crypto market hasn’t recovered since the bear market began right after the largest liquidation event in its history on 10th October 2025. On that day, over $19 billion were simply wiped out.

Since then, the market has swung through highs and lows, sparking concern over whether the bulls or the bears have the upper hand.

The market now sits at another of those turning points, just after Bitcoin [BTC] cleared the $65,000-resistance and several altcoins printed local highs.

Investors pull back $85 billion

Whether the market records deeper losses is tied directly to its total capitalization, which has shed roughly $85 billion since 21st July.

This decline may be evidence of bearish positioning, profit-taking, or a mix of both. In fact, the drop landed right after the market set a fresh high, hinting towards investors probably locking in their money.

Why did WLD fall by 9% after World Foundation

raised $52.5M via token sale? The World Foundation, the non-profit organization that governs the World network (formerly Worldcoin), has raised $52.5M to advance the network. However, the deal soon triggered a 9% $WLD token price crash.

According to the organization, the deal was made possible by selling $WLD tokens to strategic investors including Pantera Capital, Selini Capital, Bain Capital Crypto, and Eightco Holdings.

On-chain data showed that the non-profit transferred 217.4M $WLD, with analysts estimating that the token's sale price was $0.2415 per $WLD.

That would translate to a 30% discount from the press time price level of $0.3445 or a whopping 40% discount from $WLD's price of $0.386 on Friday, before the update went public.

However, for its part, the World Foundation insisted the deal was based on the market price. Funding was through a direct purchase of market-priced $WLD. According to t54, the company behind the XRPL x402 Facilitator, Al agent payments on XRPL now support Mastercard's Verifiable Intent (VI) standard, introducing cryptographic authorization and pre-settlement risk checks for autonomous blockchain transactions.

The integration enables developers to attach verifiable proof of authorization to Al-initiated payments. Beyond a standard wallet signature, each transaction can now prove who approved it, the spending limits attached to it, and the exact purchase it is authorized to complete.

These credentials are processed through the x402 Facilitator, which routes them to Trustline's risk engine before settlement. Payments are evaluated against predefined authorization rules, adding an extra layer of security before funds move on-chain.

The system is built on Mastercard's Verifiable Intent framework, part of its Agentic Commerce initiative. uses a three-tier chain of Selective Disclosure JSON Web Token (SD-JWT) credentials, L1, L2, and L3, to verify three critical elements: who authorized the payment, what limits or conditions apply, and which transaction is being approved.
