A new research paper from $HTX Research, the analytical division of crypto exchange $HTX, traces the precise mechanism behind this shift. The report argues that the paths of real-world asset tokenization and decentralized finance are no longer parallel lanes—they are converging into one continuous financial loop. The analysis surfaces at a moment when tokenized RWAs have already crossed the $20 billion mark, according to industry trackers, and major financial institutions are actively settling real transactions on-chain.

The $HTX paper, the original report, moves beyond the raw numbers. It examines the concrete flow mechanics that let tokenized treasury bills, private credit, or real estate become productive collateral in lending protocols, automated market makers, and yield aggregators. Instead of treating tokenization as a one-way bridge for capital import, the report frames the entire system as a feedback loop: assets from the off-chain world generate on-chain yield, which then attracts more capital to be tokenized, creating a flywheel that tightens the link between traditional finance and DeFi rails.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong intensified pressure for a Senate vote, portraying the CLARITY Act as a bipartisan breakthrough that could strengthen consumer protections, law enforcement authority, and American leadership in digital assets.Crypto exchange Coinbase (Nasdaq: COIN) CEO Brian Armstrong urged lawmakers in an X post on July 27 to advance the CLARITY Act, arguing that the bipartisan proposal would strengthen consumer protections, expand law enforcement tools, and deliver regulatory clarity for the cryptocurrency industry.

Calling for an immediate vote, the Coinbase executive maintained that lawmakers had spent thousands of hours developing the compromise and should complete the legislative process without further delays.

The X post also included a clip from Armstrong’s July 21 CNBC interview, where he described the legislation as the product of years of bipartisan negotiations.

Armstrong remarked:

“The CLARITY Act is at the one-yard line, and it reflects the work from both sides of the aisle, spending thousands of hours along with their staff to get a true bipartisan compromise.”

The Coinbase CEO used the football metaphor to argue that the legislation is extremely close to advancing and should receive a final Senate vote without further delay.

The executive also argued that the proposal would expand law enforcement authority, establish new consumer protections, and provide a federal framework for the digital asset industry.

No month on XRP’s record holds a longer winning run. July also carries a +6.91% median, the strongest of any month. Median matters more than average here, because it strips out the outlier years that distort XRP’s history.

August breaks the rhythm. Its +0.43% average is the flattest reading on the table, while every other month leans clearly positive or negative. August has also closed red four years running, the longest losing run any month currently carries, and Bitcoin walks into a similar August setup.

Fund flows already match that apathy. XRP ETF flows registered exactly $0.00 on 10 of the 17 trading days in July, including two separate three-day blackouts.

The latest blackout ran from July 22 to July 24, straight into month end. Net July demand across those 17 sessions reached roughly $12.4 million against a fund complex holding about $997 million, so US spot XRP ETF demand has barely moved the needle.

Turnover is thinning too. Daily value traded fell from $14.05 million on July 1 to $8.80 million on July 24, a drop of about 37%.
