In a recent announcement on its official website, the project stated its plan to dissolve its decentralized security council and transfer control to an internal multi-signature mechanism. Just days earlier, Scroll had cancelled a significant price increase that had added over $50,000 to user costs.

The security council is no longer worthwhile. The DAO plans to transfer protocol governance control to administrator multi-signature within the next 10 days. This step still requires the support of the security council to take effect.

The proposed multi-signature address is 0xcca54B0916Cee2186b47E9709BEdcb7041A8F761. All contract changes will be transparently performed on-chain. This means anyone can verify these updates.

Contracts to be migrated under the new architecture include the ScrollOwner contract, the AgoraGovernor contract, and the time-lock contract.  In short, time locks delay critical protocol actions, giving users time to understand the changes before they occur.

A crypto scam posing as the official Ledger Live hardware wallet app passed Apple's App Store review process and drained at least $9.5 million from more than 50 victims across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, and XRP between April 7 and April 13, with stolen funds routed through more than 150 KuCoin deposit addresses and into a centralized mixing service. Summary The three largest individual thefts were $3.23 million in USDT on April 9, $2.08 million in USDC on April 11, and $1.95 million in BTC, ETH, and stETH on April 8, with blockchain investigator ZachXBT tracing all stolen funds to deposit addresses linked to a mixing service called AudiA6, known for charging high fees to obscure illicit transactions. Switzerland’s Crypto Valley funding rose 37% in 2025 as TON led deals

Switzerland’s Crypto Valley captured 47% of European blockchain venture funding in 2025, raising $728 million across 31 deals, according to an annual report released Wednesday by venture firm CV VC.

Globally, blockchain venture funding rose 30% to $15.5 billion across 986 deals last year, while Crypto Valley’s total climbed 37% from $531 million in 2024, the report said.

One deal did much of the heavy lifting. The Open Network (TON) accounted for $400 million of Crypto Valley’s 2025 funding haul, followed by Sygnum Bank at $58 million, stablecoin platform M0 at $40 million, Impossible Cloud Network at $34 million and CratD2C at $30 million, according to the report.

The figures suggest Switzerland remains Europe’s main blockchain funding hub, but they also show capital concentrating into fewer, larger rounds.

Blockchain networks attracted 62% of total funding, followed by infrastructure at 14%, centralized financial services at 10% and decentralized finance applications at 10%, the report said.
