HTXSquare: Global Markets After Trump China Visit

South Korean authorities are set to release detailed rules for the issuance, infrastructure, and distribution of tokenized securities, as the country advances its efforts to implement crypto market regulations in 2027.

FSC Eyes July Tokenized Securities Framework
On Friday, South Korea’s Financial Services Commission (FSC) revealed it is preparing to publish its framework for tokenized securities in July during the second meeting of the public-private joint “Token Securities Council,” launched in March.

Earlier this year, the National Assembly passed the Token Securities Institutionalization Act, which will take effect on February 4, 2027, to amend the Electronic Securities Act and the Capital Markets Act.

The changes are set to allow qualified issuers to launch tokenized securities using distributed ledger technology and enable the products to be traded as investment contract securities on brokerages and other licensed intermediaries.

FSC’s Vice Chairman Kwon Dae-young highlighted that the “upcoming token securities ecosystem must strike a balance between innovation and trust.” Therefore, the regulatory agency is reviewing measures to subordinate regulations and guidelines for the Tokenized Securities Act.

In addition, the regulator is expected to develop a phased roadmap for tokenizing existing standardized securities, such as stocks and bonds, as well as for on-chain settlements, drawing on international practices.

Discussing the best practices for eligibility and underlying assets, Kwon stated that the FSC will “We will uphold the fundamental principles of market order and investor protection, but we will not take a one-sided regulatory approach.” Notably, the regulator plans to allow the issuance of fractional investment securities by pooling underlying assets of the same type within a certain range.

Bitcoin Price Sinks Below $78,000; How Far Can BTC Fall as U.S. 10-Year Treasury Yield Hits 4.58%?

Bitcoin price has fallen below $78,000 as macro pressure returned to global markets, erasing the short-lived rally that followed progress on the U.S. CLARITY Act earlier in the week.

At press time, the $BTC price was trading near $77,984, down about 3.59% over the past 24 hours. The decline came after Bitcoin briefly moved above $82,000 when the U.S. Senate Banking Committee advanced the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in a 15-9 bipartisan vote.

That regulatory boost faded as investors reacted to rising U.S. bond yields and fresh concerns that the Federal Reserve may keep policy tighter for longer. The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield climbed to about 4.58%, making fixed-income assets more attractive compared with risk assets such as crypto.

Consequently, the market pricing now shows rising concern of up to 60% that the Federal Reserve’s next move could be an interest rate hike rather than a cut. Persistent inflation has kept pressure on Bitcoin, technology stocks, and other assets sensitive to liquidity conditions.

A whale trader attracted market attention recently after opening a 10x leveraged long position on 17,137 ZEC worth nearly $9.57M. The trader placed aggressive take-profit targets between $545 and $740, while maintaining a liquidation level near $537.56. 

This positioning emerged as ZEC traded near a major resistance cluster after weeks of sustained recovery. Large leveraged trades near resistance often increase volatility because price swings quickly affect liquidation pressure. 

However, this whale continued to target significantly higher levels, despite the recent rejection beneath $700. The position suggested that smart money might still be anticipating further upside if ZEC reclaims its overhead resistance. 

Additionally, the trader’s projected $7.6M profit target reinforced expectations that bullish conviction had been strong. This, despite recent cooling across the broader market.

US CLARITY Act will be a ‘boon for domestic innovation’: A16zThe US CLARITY Act, which aims to provide the US crypto industry with more regulatory clarity, could have a positive ripple effect beyond the crypto sector itself, according to venture capital firm a16z crypto.

“If the US provides builders with regulatory clarity, it will be a boon for domestic innovation,” a16z crypto said in an X post on Friday.

A16z pointed to the passage of the $GENIUS Act in July 2025, which created a regulatory framework for stablecoins, as a possible indication of what may happen following the CLARITY Act.

“Its passage led to unprecedented growth and adoption, which is not only good for the U.S. economy, but is also good for long-term dominance of the US dollar,” a16z crypto said. The US dollar index, which tracks the dollar's strength against a basket of major currencies, is 99.27 at the time of publication, up 1.28% over the past 30 days, according to TradingView.
