Tron (TRX) founder Justin Sun, who is close to US President Donald Trump and is one of the biggest investors in the TRUMP token, and his team have made a new move.

Tron DAO announced it has expanded its AI and stablecoin funding to $1 billion.

Tron DAO announced in a post from its X account that it has increased its AI and cryptocurrency fund, which it first launched in 2023, from $100 million to $1 billion.

According to the announcement, the fund will invest in four areas: “1) AI agent identity projects, 2) Stablecoin-based payment projects, 3) Tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), and 4) Developer tools for autonomous financial systems.”

“TRON announced it is increasing its AI funding from $100 million to $1 billion. The fund will aim to invest in and acquire early-stage companies that are building the foundational infrastructure for an agent-based economy.”

The expanded fund, now at $1 billion, will focus on investing in projects that use artificial intelligence to improve blockchain scalability, security, and user experience. TRON’s initiative reflects the growing trend of leveraging AI capabilities within the crypto industry and demonstrates its ambition to be a leader in this field.

Tron is also just one of many cryptocurrency-based ecosystems aiming to invest in AI and target an agent-based payment economy, while Solana and Base are also taking steps to expand into this space.

Tron founder Justin Sun had previously stated in an interview that many use cases for AI agents involve small and frequent operations, and that these “require fast and inexpensive networks.”

Proceeds from past programs have financed many of the company’s aggressive Bitcoin purchases since early last year, leveraging a growing range of issuance vehicles, including ATM facilities linked to preferred stock products such as STRF and STRD.Strategy purchased an additional 1,031 BTC for roughly $76.6 million, paying an average price of $74,326 per Bitcoin between March 16 and March 22, according to a Monday filing with the SEC.The latest acquisition lifted the firm’s total holdings to 762,099 BTC, worth around $53 billion, thereby cornering over 3.5% of Bitcoin’s total 21 million-circulating-supply. Crypto Attempts to Break the Downtrend Again
Bitcoin has risen by more than 4.5%, staying just below $71K.
The crypto market cap has increased by nearly 4% over the past 24 hours, remaining near the high reached after Trump announced talks with Iran. This outperforms most related markets, where initial momentum has waned. Among the major coins, the relatively smaller Aptos (+15%), Filecoin (+10%), and Toncoin (+7.4%) are performing better than others. Monero (-2%) and Polkadot (+1%) are underperforming. Meanwhile, the crypto market has been trading around its 50-day moving average for the past 10 days, with a few attempts to move above it.

Bitcoin has risen by more than 4.5%, staying just below $71K. Although the leading cryptocurrency did not immediately capitalise on the upward momentum and extend its gains, simply remaining at these high levels now suggests confidence among the bulls. They are gradually developing a more optimistic outlook. However, it would be premature to declare the end of the downtrend until prices settle above $75K, where the March pivot points and the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level from the January-February decline are concentrated.
According to CoinShares, global investment in crypto funds increased by $230 million last week, representing a fivefold decrease from the previous week. Investments in Bitcoin rose by $219 million, in Solana by $17 million, in Chainlink by $5 million, and in XRP by $3 million. Investments in Ethereum declined by $28 million.

Bitcoin can serve as a liquid asset and an ‘exit point’ for investors amid instability in global markets, notes the hedge fund Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers.

The current decline in Bitcoin is connected to a four-year cycle and profit-taking by long-term holders.

Crypto-friendly fintech Revolut sees profit soar 57% to $2.3 billion in 2025 London-based crypto-friendly fintech giant Revolut reported record earnings for 2025 as it scales across new markets.

Profit before tax rose 57% year over year to $2.3 billion, while revenue climbed 46% to $6 billion, according to its annual report. The company posted its fifth straight year of net profit, which stood at $1.7 billion for 2025, with margins improving to 38%.

Growth came from a wider mix of services. Card payments, subscriptions, foreign exchange and wealth products each contributed meaningful income. Eleven business lines generated more than $135 million each, the firm said.

Customer activity also surged. Total balances increased 66% to $67.5 billion, while transaction volume reached $1.7 trillion. Revolut added 16 million retail users, bringing its total to 68.3 million. Business accounts rose to 767,000.

Regulatory progress remains central to its strategy. The firm now operates as a licensed bank in more than 30 markets, which earlier this month started including the U.K., and has filed for a U.S. banking license.

Revolut plans to invest $13 billion over five years and aims to reach 100 million customers by 2027, it said. The firm lets users buy and sell crypto through its platform, including through a dedicated exchange called Revolut X.
