By mid-afternoon, BTC had retreated roughly 5% and was trading near $71,240, a pullback that has analysts re-examining whether the current downturn is simply a short pause or the start of a deeper correction. Deeper Bitcoin Retracement Ahead? Market analyst Crypto Con argued on social media platform X that Bitcoin's present weakness now closely tracks the 2022 bear market after an initial period of even steeper short-term underperformance. Drawing on historical cycle patterns, Crypto Con suggested the next likely stages could take BTC down toward $45,000 and in a more extended drawdown as low as $35,000. He noted that many technical indicators still have room to fall before reaching cyclical lows and that support metrics converge in the $35,000-$45,000 band. "It's the last drop that does most of the damage, which has been the part that decreases every cycle," he observed, pointing to October-November as the period when the deepest damage historically occurs. River (RIVER) is a decentralized finance (DeFi) crypto project focused on solving cross-chain liquidity and capital efficiency problems. It acts as a “circulatory system” for crypto, allowing assets, liquidity, and yield to move seamlessly across different blockchain networks.

The RIVER is the governance asset of the protocol. Holders can vote on decisions, earn rewards, and participate in the ecosystem’s growth. After hitting $76K, the $BTC price looked as though it was holding firm around $74K. However, with buyers exhausted after eight green days and a $10,000 gain to the upside, a rejection from the top of the bear flag was always going to be the most probable outcome. A rapid descent to $69K followed, and it now remains to be seen whether this major level will hold and provide the base for a bounce.

The short-term chart shows the rapid descent down to support, which has so far followed a similar path to the last time the $BTC price was rejected from the top of the bear flag. It just remains to be seen whether the price will hold this time at support, or if it will fall through.

The sharp fall has enabled the Stochastic RSI to reset, and the same is true in the 8-hour and 12-hour time frames, so a bounce, whether it be from the current support level, or the major $69K horizontal level, is quite a likely scenario. A minor trendline can also provide support at the lower of these levels.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) might become the second meme coin to get a spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) after Dogecoin. This comes after the US securities regulator issued a clarification stating that SHIB and other digital assets are classified as commodities. Meanwhile, a $1.8 trillion asset manager recently issued an updated filing for an ETF that includes SHIB.

Months after Dogecoin ETFs started trading, asset managers are now seeking to give their clients exposure to the second-largest meme coin, SHIB. T. Rowe Price, an asset manager with $1.8 trillion in assets under management, has submitted an amended S-1 filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a Price Active Crypto ETF.

This ETF will give holders exposure to various crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, and Shiba Inu. If the SEC approves this product, it will make it easier for institutions to get exposure to SHIB.

The launch of spot Dogecoin ETFs has proven that if an SHIB ETF launches, it could amass inflows. According to SoSoValue, the three spot DOGE ETFs that are currently trading have amassed more than $10 million in net assets. This is notably higher than the Canary’s Litecoin ETF, which has amassed $6.71 million in net assets since its launch.

On the upside, upon the reversal of LINK’s ongoing momentum, the price could climb to the resistance at the $9.21 range. Assuming the bullish pressure escalates, the golden cross might form and send the price above $9.27.
