Bitcoin has stalled near the $76,000 level after a sharp run-up, signaling a pause in bullish momentum as the market encounters strong resistance. After an aggressive rally that pushed BTC into the mid-$70K range, profit-taking and heavy sell orders have started to cap further upside, turning $76K into a key short-term ceiling.
The recent slowdown suggests that Bitcoin may be entering a consolidation phase. Despite the pullback, the broader trend remains intact, with BTC still holding above important support zones. Market participants are now closely watching whether this pause is a healthy cooldown before another breakout—or the early stage of a deeper correction.
At the same time, Ethereum has been showing relative strength following its own sharp upward move. Ethereum’s rally has been fueled by renewed investor interest, improving on-chain activity, and growing optimism around the broader altcoin market. As BTC consolidates, capital rotation into ETH and other altcoins is becoming more evident.
This divergence between Bitcoin and Ethereum is a common market pattern. When Bitcoin slows after a strong rally, traders often shift focus toward higher-beta assets like ETH in search of greater short-term gains. As a result, Ethereum can outperform BTC during these consolidation phases.
From a technical standpoint, Bitcoin is currently testing a crucial range between $72K support and $76K resistance. A breakout above this resistance could reignite bullish momentum and open the path toward $80K. On the downside, failure to hold support may lead to a broader market correction.

Crypto Market Tests Breakout Above Key Resistance

Bitcoin rose to $76K, later retreating to $74K, where it is trading as the European session begins.
Crypto market capitalisation increased by a further 2.7% in the last 24 hours, reaching $2.54 trillion. At its peak earlier in the day, the market climbed to $2.58 trillion, its highest since early February. This indicates a period of consolidation above the 50-day moving average, an attempt to break free from the correction pattern following the decline, and a move above the 61.8% retracement level of the initial movement.

The sentiment index gained 5 points to reach 28 for the day, breaking out of the extreme fear zone and hitting its highest level since late January. This indicator’s positive signal complements the favourable technical picture.

Bitcoin rose to $76K, later retreating to $74K, where it is trading as the European session begins. The market is currently testing the rally’s stability. Meanwhile, sentiment in traditional markets has shifted: gold and stock indices closed higher on Monday, while the dollar index dived back below 100.
According to CoinShares, global investment in crypto funds rose by $1.1 billion last week, marking the third week of inflows after five weeks of outflows. Investments in Bitcoin increased by $793 million, in Ethereum by $315 million, in Solana by $9 million, and in Chainlink by $3 million.

Since the beginning of the Iranian crisis, the total assets under management (AuM) in global crypto ETFs have grown by 9.4% to $140 billion, according to CoinShares.

Over the past 30 days, users have withdrawn more than 32,060 BTC from crypto exchanges. Only 2.44 million BTC remain on the balance sheets of trading platforms, the lowest figure in recent years, according to Crypto Patel.

Popular NFT platform OpenSea has postponed the launch date of its native token, ‘SEA’.

Accordingly, OpenSea postponed the launch of the SEA token, citing market conditions.

OpenSea CEO Devin Finzer announced this situation via a post on his X account, stating that the launch of the platform’s native token, SEA, has been postponed.

“The OpenSea Foundation initially planned to launch the token on March 30th, but decided to postpone the schedule.”

Fitzer attributed the delay to challenging conditions in the cryptocurrency market and said that because the token launch was a one-time opportunity, the team chose to focus on fixing the product’s shortcomings rather than sticking to the original timeline.

At this point, Pitzer stated, “Current market conditions are not easy. Since the SEA token will only be launched once, it’s important not to proceed before we are fully prepared. We could have brought the program forward, but ensuring the level of quality the community expects is more important.”

Fitzer noted that fifty percent of the total offering is reserved for the OpenSea community, encompassing both former users and those currently participating in the rewards program, and added that this will be the last wave of rewards.

At this point, along with the postponement, OpenSea is ending its Reward Wave program and will offer users who participated in the third through sixth reward payment periods a platform fee refund option. If the refund option is chosen, the relevant Treasures rewards will be forfeited.

Additionally, the platform will reduce transaction fees to 0% for two months starting March 31st.
