Wall Street invested heavily in US spot Solana ETFs during Q4, with institutional buyers purchasing more than $540 million worth of the funds, according to Bloomberg data.

Venture capital firm Electric Capital Partners and investment bank Goldman Sachs emerged as the two largest buyers, holding approximately $137.8 million and $107.4 million in Solana ETF exposure.



Investment advisors were the biggest category of buyers overall, investing more than $270 million, while hedge funds followed with around $186 million.

Other major institutional investors included Elequin Capital, SIG Holding, Multicoin Capital, Morgan Stanley and Citadel Advisors.

The surge in institutional demand came after Bitwise launched the first SEC-approved spot Solana ETF in the United States on Oct. 28.

Periods of rising oil strength often appear near major Bitcoin peaks or extended consolidation zones. For instance, strong crude rallies around 2018 and 2022 overlapped with cooling momentum in Bitcoin.
