Hyperliquid is growing. A protocol that didn’t exist two years ago is now collecting more fees than Ethereum. That is not a marketing claim. That is what the data shows.

The question worth asking is not whether Hyperliquid is growing — it clearly is. The question is what that growth reveals about where on-chain markets are heading.

The DefiLlama chart tells the story in two lines. TVL climbed from zero in mid-2024 to a $6 billion peak.

Fee bars grew alongside it — consistently, month after month. Hyperliquid now leads all blockchains with approximately 43% of weekly blockchain fee market share — generating around $11 million last week alone.

All-time fees have crossed $1.24 billion. Annualized revenue is running at $800 million–$1 billion. Monthly fees exceed $56 million.

Circle is now the technical deployment partner for USDC on Hyperliquid — making it the canonical quote asset. The shift is expected to generate greater reserve yield for the protocol.

As of May 16, 2026 (07:39 UTC), $HYPE trades at $42.01, down -4.73% on the week. It is pulling back from its cycle high of $46.89. The Parabolic SAR at $35.41 sits below price.The weekly trend remains bullish. The RSI at 60.93 is mid-range. It is not overbought. It is rising steadily from the launch lows.

Price is consolidating just below the cycle high. The $39–$40 area is the first support zone to watch on any further pullback.

Siren ($SIREN), the AI memecoin, caught the attention of crypto enthusiasts following its recent price performance. On 14 May, while the broader crypto market was surging across the board, $SIREN’s value plunged significantly, forming a massive 56% red candle.

At the time of writing, it was still well on its downtrend on the charts, with the memecoin valued at $0.53.

That’s not all though as a massive decline in market participation was also recorded during the same period. Its trading volume, for instance, fell by over 51.43% to $56.67 million.

Thanks to this massive fall, $SIREN has erased all the gains it recorded over the last 40 days. Hence, the question – Where does $SIREN go from here?

According to the memecoin’s daily chart, its latest price dip pushed $SIREN to a key support level of $0.499. It has been holding this level since the beginning of April 2026.If the memecoin fails to withstand the downward pressure and closes a daily candle below the $0.499-level, there is a strong possibility that $SIREN could witness another massive decline and potentially fall by 60% to the $0.173-level. Especially since there is no major support between $0.499 and $0.173.

However, if $SIREN manages to hold above the $0.499-level and control its bearish momentum, a potential price reversal could also occur.

At press time, the technical indicator Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) had dropped to -0.42, indicating strong selling pressure and a significant outflow of capital from the asset.

On the other hand, the Average Directional Index (ADX) had climbed to 37.80. This indicated that $SIREN flashed signs of strong directional strength as the indicator moved above the key threshold level of 25.

Even so, some analysts believe that $SIREN’s short-term bias suggested the price could fall further from here. According to them, the next downside

Solana [$SOL] is in a peculiar state.

On one side, investor interest seems to be growing. On the other, one of the biggest corporate holders of $SOL is sitting on massive unrealized losses.

Here’s the rundown…

Investor interest in U.S Spot Solana ETFs is picking up. The funds recorded $6.5 million in net inflows yesterday, taking weekly inflows to $58 million. That’s the strongest week since December 2025, and that’s with one trading session still left!The press time tracker also revealed that total net flows across Solana ETFs were at around $1.13 billion, with the combined AUM near $1.05 billion. Bitwise’s BSOL led the pack with over $900 million in total net flows, followed by Fidelity’s FSOL and Grayscale’s GSOL.What you’re not seeing, however, is that Forward Industries, the largest-listed Solana treasury firm, is facing the heat on its $SOL position.The company holds nearly 7 million $SOL, most of it staked. However, its earlier purchases were made at a much higher average cost.

With $SOL now trading below that level, Forward’s unrealized loss is nearing $1 billion. Its latest quarterly filing also showed a net loss of about $586 million, mostly caused by the drop in the fair value of its $SOL holdings.

This mixed picture is very visible in the chart.

$SOL was trading at $89, at press time, after pulling back from its recent move towards the high-$90 range. The RSI had slowed down from stronger levels and seemed to be closer to neutral. The MACD was also slowing down too.

Put simply, we’re not in a clearly bullish or bearish state yet. Demand may be entering the market, but large $SOL exposure (like that of Forward Industries) is still under pressure.

As the process for cryptocurrency ETF applications accelerates, Grayscale and VanEck have updated their spot $BNB ETF applications. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart revealed that Grayscale has filed a second amended S-1 application for its spot $BNB ETF.
Seyffart stated that this update was most likely made in response to feedback from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and could indicate that the application is nearing the launch process.

On the same day, VanEck also submitted its fifth updated prospectus for the $BNB ETF to the SEC. Meanwhile, Canary Capital filed its first amended application for a stake-based TRX/Tron ETF, while T. Rowe Price filed its fourth amendment application for an actively managed crypto ETF product. These developments indicate that the SEC continues to simultaneously evaluate multiple cryptocurrency ETF applications.
