Following six months of testing with zero state divergence, Igra Network opens public access to a 3,000+ TPS smart contract environment secured by proof-of-work consensus. Igra Labs has opened public access to Igra Network, a decentralized EVM-compatible execution layer built on Kaspa's proof-of-work BlockDAG. The mainnet launch follows a testnet that processed over 730,000 transactions across 21 million blocks with zero state divergence.

Kaspa is a proof-of-work blockchain with a market capitalization nearing $1 billion and more than 500,000 active addresses. The ecosystem generated $486 million in trading volume on the day KRC-20 token protocol functionality launched, demonstrating significant latent demand for on-chain activity. Despite that demand, the ecosystem has operated with less than $1 million in DeFi total value locked due to the absence of a decentralized and programmable smart contract layer. Igra Network is built to close that gap. By inheriting Kaspa's proof-of-work security while delivering full Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility, the network gives the ecosystem's existing user base and a global developer community of over 100,000 Solidity engineers a shared execution environment for the first time.

BONK.fun has restored its website following last week’s domain hijack. They confirm that the incident stemmed from a third-party provider breach and resulted in approximately $30,000 in user losses.

In an update shared on 20 March, the team said the attack was caused by a social engineering exploit targeting its domain service provider, which led to the domain being transferred to an external registrar.

The provider has since accepted responsibility for the incident.

The team added that there was no compromise of BONK. fun’s internal systems, codebase, or team accounts. They framed the attack as an external infrastructure breach rather than a protocol-level failure.

BONK phishing attack traced to domain takeover

The breach allowed attackers to take control of the BONK.fun website and deploy a phishing interface that prompted users to sign malicious transactions.

Earlier reports linked the attack to a fake terms-of-service signature request, which enabled unauthorized wallet access.

Blockchain analytics platform Bubblemaps had initially estimated losses at around $23,000, but the BONK.fun team has now revised that figure to $30,000.

In response, the team said it will reimburse affected users at 110% of their losses, covering both direct losses and opportunity costs.

Recovery delayed by registrar transfer

BONK.fun said the unauthorized domain transfer significantly slowed its ability to respond, as the domain was temporarily beyond its reach.

The domain was eventually restored on 18 March, with full functionality — including wallet integrations — returning by 19 March.

Wallet providers, including Phantom, MetaMask, and Solflare, were among those that helped flag the compromised domain.

Site relaunches, but warnings remain

Coinbase and Apex Group Bring Bitcoin Yield Fund to Base

Coinbase has tokenized a share class of its Bitcoin Yield Fund on the Base blockchain, partnering with financial services firm Apex Group to handle on-chain compliance and transfer functions.

Apex announced Thursday that the tokenized share class is structured to interact with compatible platforms, wallets, and infrastructure while maintaining regulatory compliance. Coinbase Asset Management president Anthony Bassili said the product integrates "identity and eligibility at the token level," embedding compliance checks directly into the token rather than relying on external controls.

The share class uses the ERC-3643 permissioned token standard, which restricts access to verified institutional and accredited investors. It is currently available only to eligible investors outside of the U.S., with Coinbase stating plans to launch a U.S.-facing tokenized share class in the future.

Apex serves as the on-chain transfer agent for the fund, responsible for managing token ownership records, enforcing transfer and compliance rules, and maintaining a full transaction history on Base. The structure follows a broader trend of asset managers bringing fund products onto public blockchains in search of lower settlement costs and continuous trading availability.

Asset managers such as BlackRock, Fidelity Investments, and Franklin Templeton have already launched tokenized funds on-chain. The Coinbase fund adds a yield-bearing Bitcoin product to that growing list, targeting annual returns of 4% to 8% in Bitcoin terms for the non-U.S. version.
