However, the recent surge in Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoins has injected renewed momentum into the market, and according to Japanese giant Nomura, 80% of institutions appear willing to invest in cryptocurrencies.

According to the report, investors do not view the current market as an entry point, but rather as a preparatory phase before entry.

According to DL News, the “2026 Digital Asset Institutional Investor Survey” report indicates that institutions are more interested in yield-generating strategies such as staking, lending, and stablecoin usage, rather than simple price appreciation.

As investment priorities, more than two-thirds of participants are interested in generating returns through decentralized finance (DeFi) mechanisms such as staking, 65% are exploring lending and tokenized assets, and 63% are interested in derivatives and stablecoins.

Furthermore, 63% of participants believe stablecoins have practical use cases such as cash management, cross-border payments, and investment in tokenized assets, and they consider stablecoins issued by large financial institutions to be the most reliable.

According to Nomura’s survey results, regulatory clarity, increased awareness, and improved risk management frameworks are seen as key to further boosting institutional investment in cryptocurrencies.

Lawmakers in Washington are closing in on a final agreement for the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, a bill that would establish a comprehensive framework for crypto regulation in the United States, according to reporting from CoinDesk citing JPMorgan sources.

The bank said negotiations have entered a late stage, with most disputes resolved and only a small set of issues still under discussion. One senior policy official said that the list of contentious topics has narrowed from about a dozen to just two or three, signaling a shift toward consensus after years of debate.

At the center of the legislation is a long-standing question over how to divide oversight of digital assets between federal regulators. The bill would formalize jurisdictional boundaries between the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, while also defining how tokens, stablecoins and decentralized finance platforms fit within existing financial law.

Lawmakers and industry participants have framed the measure as a critical step toward bringing regulatory certainty to a sector that has operated in a patchwork environment. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and other officials have urged Congress to act, warning that delays risk pushing innovation and capital to foreign markets with clearer rules.

One of the most sensitive issues in negotiations has been whether stablecoin issuers should be allowed to offer crypto yield or yield-like rewards to users.

Crypto analyst MyCryptoParadise points this out in an analysis that focuses on the catalysts that could trigger the next PEPE rally.

The Bullish Developments Brewing A Rally For PEPE
In the analyst is share don the TradingView post, MyCryptoParadise points to a number of factors that have pushed the PEPE price out of the bearish phase and into a more bullish environment. The first of these, and possibly the most important, is the fact that PEPE formed a Selling Climax (SC).

According to the analyst, this Selling Climax emerged when buying overwhelmed selling, absorbing the pressure from the dumping. The importance of this is that it means that the meme coins have now hit the end of the bearish phase. Following this, it would move right into accumulation, which is bullish for the price.

Next is the fact that PEPE saw a Change of Character with this move. This means that there is now a change from the bearish structure to a bullish one. The analyst points out that this signals that the momentum is now moving in favor of the buyers.

Another interesting formation on the chart is the Automatic Rally trend. This means that bulls are not strengthening after establishing a resistance level. Furthermore, the PEPE price has also formed a Last Point of Support. This simply means that the buyers are back in control of the meme coin once again.
