Here's how many blocks are still to go. Bitcoin Halving Will Occur At Block Height 1,050,000The "Halving" is a predetermined event on the Bitcoin network that slashes the cryptocurrency's block subsidy exactly in half. It's periodic in nature, occurring every 210,000 blocks or about every four years. The last such event took place in 2024. lies in the role played by the block subsidy on the network. The block subsidy is the BTC compensation that miners receive whenever they add a new block to the chain. It happens to be the only way more of the cryptocurrency enters circulation, so it can be equated to the production of the asset. If this reward remains constant, miners will keep flooding the same number of coins into the market, which can have a negative effect on the asset's value over time. With the Halving in place, however, the production rate of the cryptocurrency keeps shrinking, thus making new tokens scarcer. This is the reason why Satoshi implemented the feature: the pseudonymous creator wanted to mitigate the inflation of the asset. As mentioned earlier, the Halving occurs every 210,000 blocks. The next event, which will be the fifth Halving on the network, will occur at block height 1,050,000. As the countdown from NiceHash shows, Bitcoin is sitting at around 946,000 blocks right now, meaning that it's over halfway through the 210,000-block journey to the next event.

Pudgy Penguins [PENGU] has rallied 7.44% in the past 24 hours and was looking to make that number even bigger as Bitcoin [BTC] continued its ascent past $76k. The crypto market, led by BTC, has seen a strong reaction after the weekend slump.



The official coin of the popular NFT collection had shed 11.8% from Friday, the 17th of April, to Sunday, the 19th of April. Since Monday’s low at $0.0069, the altcoin has rallied by 13.2%.

The Pudgy World browser game went live on the 12th of March, but has not initiated a long-term trend shift for PENGU. The Pengu Card went live on the 25th of March. A Bitcoin sell-off at that time saw PENGU shed 14.6% over the next three days.

Dogecoin is showing signs of a potential trend reversal after bouncing from the $0.0925 support zone. The price has pushed above $0.0950 and the 100-hourly simple moving average, signaling short-term bullish momentum. However, sellers remain active near the $0.0970–$0.0975 range, casting doubt on the next directional move.

The 23.6% Fibonacci retracement of the drop from $0.1021 to $0.0926 has already been cleared. This gives the bulls a structural edge in the short term. The next target sits at the 50% Fibonacci level near $0.0975, which aligns with the first major resistance zone.
