Capital B, a publicly traded company based in France, continues to increase its Bitcoin investments. In a statement made on the social media platform X, the company announced that it recently purchased 37 Bitcoins for approximately €2.3 million. This latest purchase brings the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to 2,925.

According to data shared by Capital B, the company’s return on Bitcoin investments since the beginning of the year is 1.25%. This rate indicates that the company has shown positive performance despite the volatility in the cryptocurrency market.

While institutional interest in Bitcoin has increased in recent years, Capital B’s growth in its portfolio through regular purchases is noteworthy. Experts state that such moves are part of companies’ long-term store of value strategies and that Bitcoin’s positioning as digital gold supports institutional demand.

A recent security incident has once again raised serious concerns about blockchain bridge safety. An attacker exploited the Hyperbridge protocol, which is connected to the Polkadot ecosystem, and managed to mint 1 billion bridged DOT tokens on Ethereum in a single transaction.

The exploit was reportedly made possible by a forged message that allowed the attacker to gain control over the admin rights of the Polkadot token contract on Ethereum. Although the number of minted tokens was extremely large, the attacker was only able to extract around 108 ETH, worth approximately $237,000, due to limited liquidity in the pool.

It is important to note that this attack only affected bridged DOT tokens on Ethereum and did not impact the native Polkadot network or its original tokens. After the incident, Hyperbridge immediately paused its operations to investigate and implement fixes.

Security experts suggest that the root cause may be related to a vulnerability in the proof verification system, possibly involving a replay attack due to missing binding between proofs and requests. However, the final confirmation is still pending.

This incident highlights ongoing risks in cross-chain bridge infrastructure, even in systems that claim high levels of security. It also comes shortly after another exploit involving the SubQuery network, showing that vulnerabilities still exist in various parts of the DeFi ecosystem.

Despite a decrease in total losses compared to last year, attacks like this remind users and developers to remain cautious and prioritize security improvements.

Ripple Price Prediction: Will XRP’s Next Big Move Drive it Below $1?

$XRP is trading around $1.33 as the altcoin continues to drift lower with no meaningful catalyst in sight. While broader markets are in a wait-and-see mode around the US-Iran ceasefire developments, $XRP has found no relief from the pressure. It is sliding further toward the critical support zone that has served as the last line of defense since February.

Ripple Price Analysis: The $USDT Pair

The structure on the $USDT pair remains firmly bearish. $XRP is trading inside a descending channel with both the 100-day MA (~$1.60) and 200-day MA (~$1.90) declining well overhead. The asset has been grinding lower in a slow bleed that has now brought it uncomfortably close to the $1.20 support zone.

That level held during the February capitulation wick but has not been tested on a sustained closing basis. Therefore, a retest appears increasingly likely at the current trajectory.

The RSI is also hovering in the low-to-mid 40s, reflecting weak but not yet oversold conditions. This suggests there is still room to the downside before any mean-reversion bounce becomes probable. Buyers need to see a reclaim of at least $1.60 — the descending channel’s upper boundary and the convergence zone of the 100-day MA — before any recovery thesis holds water.

Below $1.20, the next meaningful support sits at $1.00, with little structural backing between those two levels.

The $XRP/$BTC pair has deteriorated much more sharply than its $USDT pair counterpart. The pair is now trading at approximately 1,864 sats, which is well below the 2,000 sats level that had offered some support through February and March. The breakdown is significant and confirms that $XRP is not just falling in dollar terms, but actively losing ground against Bitcoin at an accelerating pace.

Alameda moves $16 million in Solana's SOL token for possible creditor distribution
Bankrupt crypto exchange FTX's sister company Alameda Research "unstaked" roughly $16 million worth of Solana's $SOL token and moved the same to an address linked to creditor repayments, according to data source Arkham.

Unstaking refers to the process of withdrawing crypto assets that were previously locked up in a proof-of-stake (PoS) network to help secure the blockchain and earn rewards.

The latest move follows a familiar pattern: unstake coins and route them to addresses used to reimburse creditors. About a month ago, Alameda did the same, directing funds to the same distribution address. That prior move ultimately raised expectations that the funds were part of an ongoing creditor repayment process tied to the firm’s restructuring.

While there has been no formal confirmation that this specific tranche will be distributed imminently, the repetition of the pattern suggests continuity in the process rather than an isolated movement.

$SOL, the native token of programmable blockchain Solana, has a market capitalization of $47.26 billion, which makes it the seventh-largest digital asset in the world. As of writing, $SOL traded near $82, largely unchanged on a 24-hour basis, but down significantly from its all-time high of $293 hit in January last year.

Alameda, founded by Sam Bankman-Fried in 2017, began as a quantitative trading shop focused on arbitrage opportunities in digital assets, exploiting price differences across exchanges and markets.

At its peak, Alameda was a major liquidity provider across crypto markets and was deeply embedded in the ecosystem, trading billions in volume and operating across spot, derivatives, and structured products.

Alameda still holds about 3.5 million $SOL worth $294.10 million, per Arkham.
