One whale withdrew 105,754 TRUMP from a crypto exchange on Saturday, adding to an existing position of 1.13 million tokens valued at approximately $3.2 million

Large holders of the OFFICIAL TRUMP meme coin have been buying up tokens ahead of an April 25 luncheon at Mar-a-Lago, the Florida residence of U.S. President Donald Trump, where the top 297 token holders are invited to attend and the top 29 are offered a private reception.

One whale withdrew 105,754 TRUMP from a crypto exchange on Saturday, adding to an existing position of 1.13 million tokens valued at approximately $3.2 million, according to blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain. Two days before that, another whale withdrew 850,488 TRUMP from Bybit.

On Monday, a third holder increased their stash to more than 368,000 tokens after withdrawing from BitMart, and a fourth boosted theirs to over 1 million tokens after a withdrawal from Bybit, according to blockchain explorer Solscan.

Despite the accumulation, the token has been declining. The president’s March announcement of the luncheon pushed TRUMP to $4.35, but the meme coin has since dropped more than 33% to trade around $2.80.

Dominick John, an analyst at Zeus Research, told Cointelegraph that retail-driven selling is overwhelming thin liquidity, forcing the price lower. He said insider supply overhang means even small distributions from concentrated wallets can absorb whale bids, limiting upside follow-through.

Supply is heavily concentrated. Crypto data platform CoinCarp lists 642,882 TRUMP holders, with over 91% of the supply held by the top 10 wallets and more than 97% concentrated among the top 100.
