Launches Spot Trading For BTC, ETHOn Tuesday, the $11.7 trillion brokerage giant Charles Schwab revealed that it officially launched its spot digital asset trading platform, Schwab Crypto, to a select group of retail customers. According to the X announcement, the first group of clients can trade Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) directly on its platform alongside their other digital asset-related investment products. The crypto trading platform is available in all US states, excluding New York and Louisiana, and will charge a 75-basis-point fee on the dollar value of each trade, which is among the lowest in the industry.Last month, the firm revealed the platform would be introduced in phases, starting with an internal employee pilot, moving to a client waitlist, and then opening to eligible customers throughout the rest of

JPMorgan’s $30 billion Strategy call exposes Bitcoin’s new market fault line

Strategy’s capital markets machine may give Bitcoin a huge recurring buyer, but the same flywheel also means BTC could become increasingly dependent on one company’s ability to keep issuing stock and preferred shares.
A May 7 JPMorgan client note estimated that Strategy could buy roughly $30 billion in Bitcoin in 2026 if Michael Saylor's company maintains its current purchasing pace.

That figure positions Strategy alongside spot ETF flows and miner supply as a structural force in Bitcoin's demand architecture.

Strategy holds 818,869 BTC acquired for $61.86 billion at an average cost of $75,540, and with $26.35 billion of MSTR stock issuance capacity and $19.46 billion of STRC preferred-stock capacity still available, the capital markets runway exists to approach that number.

JPMorgan's estimate puts Strategy's capital structure at the center of Bitcoin's bull and bear case simultaneously, as the same machine that could create a price floor concentrates Bitcoin's marginal bid within one company's access to equity and preferred stock markets.

On-chain data shows the Cardano sharks and whales have quietly accumulated amid the market decline as their holdings have hit a new record.
Cardano Sharks & Whales Have Pushed Supply To A New All-Time High
In a new post on X, on-chain analytics firm Santiment has talked about the latest trend in the supply of millionaire Cardano wallets. A “millionaire wallet” in the context of ADA refers to an address with 1 million tokens, worth roughly $262,400 at the current exchange rate. The cohorts that are part of this range are popularly known as the sharks and whales.

Since investors with larger holdings have a greater potential influence on the market, holders that fall in this class are considered key for the network. As such, the behavior of the sharks and whales can be worth keeping an eye on.
Now, here is the chart shared by Santiment that shows the trend in the combined amount of supply held by the millionaire Cardano wallets over the last few years:
As displayed in the above graph, the Cardano sharks and whales have seen their supply follow a pretty consistent uptrend since December 2023. During 2024 and 2025, the wider cryptocurrency sector followed a bullish trend, so it’s not surprising to see that large holders were accumulating.

Interestingly, however, the uptrend in the supply of the millionaire ADA wallets has maintained even through the bearish market shift that has followed since the last quarter of 2025. The analytics firm noted:

Although the asset has lost -71% of its market cap over the past 9 months, the “millionaire” tier of sharks and whales appear to be content with adding more while prices are at a discount.

According to weekly data, approximately $2.6 billion worth of crypto options will expire on the Deribit derivatives exchange on May 15th.

The maximum pain level is $80,000, and the spot price of $BTC is also moving around these levels. This is causing the Bitcoin price to be stuck in a narrow range before the expiry date. For Ethereum, the maximum pain level is $2,300. According to analysts, this difference between the spot price and the maximum pain level may lead to limited upward movement in the short term. However, it does not necessarily mean a definite rise or fal

ATOM trading on Upbit is expected to remain active during the maintenance window, meaning users can still buy and sell the token against fiat and crypto pairs. Only deposits into and withdrawals from the exchange are suspended. Users who need to move ATOM should complete transfers before the May 20 deadline.
