SEC to release innovation exemption for third-party tokenized shares as soon as this week: Report

The SEC is expected to launch a regulatory exemption for tokenized stocks as soon as this week, accelerating the push to bring US equity trading onto blockchain infrastructure, Bloomberg reported Monday.

The framework would allow digital tokens linked to public-company shares to trade on decentralized platforms, including tokens issued by third parties without the consent of the companies involved.

These third-party tokenized securities would effectively create parallel blockchain-based markets for publicly traded equities. While they would mirror stock prices, they may not necessarily include traditional shareholder rights unless platforms choose to provide them.

HTXSquare: Global Markets After Trump China Visit

BNB Chain post-quantum test cuts BSC TPS by 40%$BNB Chain has tested a post-quantum cryptography upgrade for BSC, but the trial showed a clear cost: larger data loads and lower throughput.

$BNB Chain released its BSC Post-Quantum Cryptography Migration Report on May 14. The report said BSC tested post-quantum transaction signatures with ML-DSA-44 and used pqSTARK for consensus vote aggregation.

The report said the migration can work with current BSC systems. It remains compatible with existing addresses, RPCs, SDKs, wallets, and transaction flows. That means users and builders would not need to change basic account formats if the design moves into production.

$BNB Chain said, “Post-quantum readiness is achievable on BSC today,” but added that data growth and network limits remain the main trade-offs. The team also said quantum computers are “not yet at a stage” where they can break current production cryptography in real-world systems.

In a recent podcast appearance, legendary macro investor and hedge fund manager Paul Tudor Jones once again shared a strong view on Bitcoin, describing it as one of the most powerful “knockout opportunities” he has ever seen.
Jones said Bitcoin stands out as the best inflation hedge in the market today, especially during periods when central banks and governments aggressively expand liquidity. Looking back at 2020, he noted that massive monetary and fiscal stimulus created the perfect environment for “inflation trades,” and Bitcoin quickly emerged as one of the strongest performers in that landscape.
What makes Bitcoin so compelling, according to Jones, is its fixed supply of 21 million coins. Unlike gold, which continues to see annual supply growth, Bitcoin’s scarcity is absolute and mathematically enforced. This, he argues, gives Bitcoin a unique advantage as a long-term store of value and portfolio diversifier.
However, Jones also highlighted that Bitcoin is not without risks. He warned that in the event of large-scale cyber or “kinetic” conflict, digital systems could be severely disrupted — potentially affecting Bitcoin as well. He also pointed to quantum computing as a long-term uncertainty that could challenge existing encryption systems.
Despite these concerns, his overall message remains clear:
Bitcoin represents a rare combination of scarcity, macro relevance, and asymmetric upside — but like all powerful trades, it comes with meaningful risks that cannot be ignored.
