Recent analyses published regarding cryptocurrency markets have once again brought the impact of geopolitical developments on Bitcoin’s price to the forefront. According to a report shared by liquidity provider and market maker Wintermute, developments in the Middle East and volatility in energy markets, in particular, could be decisive for Bitcoin.

The report predicted that if maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz returns to normal and oil prices stabilize at around $100 per barrel, Bitcoin could test the resistance zone between $74,000 and $76,000. Analysts note that this scenario could contribute to a renewed increase in risk appetite in the markets.

Conversely, it was stated that Bitcoin prices could retreat if restrictions on shipping in the region continue or if a new conflict risk emerges. In this case, it is estimated that BTC could fall back to the mid-$60,000 level.

According to experts, energy prices and geopolitical risks are increasingly impacting not only traditional markets but also crypto assets. Especially during periods of global uncertainty, investors’ approach to risky assets plays a decisive role in price movements.

Wintermute analysts emphasize that Bitcoin’s direction in the coming period will be shaped by a combination of macroeconomic data, energy market dynamics, and geopolitical developments. Therefore, investors should closely monitor not only technical indicators but also global developments.

In crypto, stablecoins are the main drivers of liquidity, and USDC plays a massive role. In the past 24 hours, Circle minted $500 million USDC on the Solana blockchain as traders accelerated buying of crypto coins and crypto stocks.

The protocol continues to expand the supply of USDC as the markets rebound following a pause in the Israel-Iran war amid remarks from President Trump.

Analyzing impact of liquidity

After Circle added $500 million to the market, the total supply of USDC stablecoin on the Solana blockchain rose by 0.14%. As per DefiLlama, USDC on Solana surpassed the $8 billion mark, which was about 10.24% of the total across all blockchains.

Most of the supply remains on Ethereum [ETH] at about 66.41%. The total circulating supply of USDC was about $78.65 billion, with another $1.284 billion still unreleased.

The minting means liquidity addition, which has impacted the markets positively. In fact, the crypto sector jumped by 4% as buying pressure increased.

More analysis indicated that the Circle protocol had been seeing high bridge volume since the start of 2026. This spike was a result of the weakness seen in February and the better part of January, as traders were bridging assets to the stablecoin.

Circle was bridging an average of about $400 million per day. These figures explained why the firm was recording high revenue, which in turn drove the price of the CRCL stock.

The long-term trend of Worldcoin has been unambiguously bearish. Measured from the day’s open during the 10/10 crash, WLD has shed 73.57% in value in under six months.

By itself, this was not an extraordinary number. Many altcoins have similar and even more severe losses. However, select altcoins have also been able to display short-term bullish strength in March.

The Bitcoin [BTC] push back above the $70k market gave some altcoins the impetus to bounce higher and shift their short-term trends bullishly. Worldcoin was not one of them.

Instead, WLD made new lows on the daily chart. The $0.345 local support from February was breached, and the price plunge was temporarily halted at the extremes of the early February crash.

The 4-hour chart showed a bearish swing structure for Worldcoin. This bearish shift occurred on the 19th of March, when WLD fell below the swing low at $0.346.

This impulse move downward was used to plot a set of Fibonacci retracement levels (white). At the time of writing, the 23.6% retracement level at $0.326 was acting as resistance.

If it is flipped to resistance, traders can expect WLD to rally to the golden pocket at $0.354-$0.366.

The RSI was just below neutral 50, and the CMF had succeeded in climbing above +0.05 to indicate strong capital inflows. If demand and momentum are sustained, Worldcoin could bounce higher.

This shift typically reflects expectations that the asset is overvalued, encouraging traders to position for further downside while amplifying selling pressure.

At the same time, not all participants are actively shorting. A segment of investors has exited positions entirely, reinforcing the narrative of declining conviction. This behavior often emerges when market participants anticipate heightened volatility or lack clarity on near-term direction.
