Simply put, RWAs are traditional financial assets (like bonds, commodities, or credit) brought onto the blockchain. However, unlike earlier versions that merely “represented” these assets, newer RWAs are issued and managed directly on-chain.

The change is helping its performance. While a majority of sectors have been deep in the red YTD, RWAs have held up fairly decently.

What’s causing this growth?

These days, RWAs are increasingly being built directly on the blockchain. Rather than relying on off-chain systems, key processes like issuance, settlement, and even collateral management are happening on-chain!

As a consequence, there’s better integration with the crypto ecosystem. This has made RWAs more functional, liquid, and accessible.

The numbers make that evident. The total RWA market has now crossed $27 billion, with non-Treasury assets accounting for $15.8 billion; overtaking U.S. Treasuries and emerging as the primary growth driver. This includes categories like commodities, asset-backed credit, and specialty finance, alongside tokenized stocks, which have now reached the $1 billion-mark.

Additionally, RWAs are surging on BNB Chain as well! Total value locked (TVL) there alone has climbed to an ATH of $3 billion.

Investors’ March Price Predictions Revealed! What to Expect for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL) Prices?
Bitcoin and altcoins experienced a strong recovery last week after a decline that began in October.

Bitcoin briefly rose above $76,000, but this increase was short-lived, and the price retreated back to around $71,000.

While both bullish and bearish predictions are coming in for Bitcoin and altcoins, expectations on the prediction marketplace Polymarket have also become clear.

At this point, investors believe that downward movements will continue in the short term, especially in Bitcoin ($BTC), Ethereum ($ETH), and Solana ($SOL).

According to Polymarket data, the expected prices for $BTC, $ETH, and $SOL in March were as follows.

1. Bitcoin ($BTC):

Polymarket is pricing in a 35% probability that Bitcoin will fall below $65,000 in March.

Predictions titled “What Price Will Bitcoin Reach in March?” indicate that a decline in $BTC prices is the dominant expectation.

A drop below $65,000 is the most likely scenario, with a 35% probability.

This is followed by a 22% probability that Bitcoin will rise above $80,000 in March.

Finally, the possibility of Bitcoin falling below $60,000 is only around 14%.

2. Ethereum ($ETH):

In predictions titled “What Will Ethereum’s Price Be in March?”, bullish forecasts for Ethereum are prominent.

The most dominant scenario is pricing above $2,400 with a 53% probability.

A move above $2,600 is priced in with a 23% probability.

These are followed by a third prominent prediction with an 8% probability that $ETH will either rise above $2,800 or fall below $1,800.

The probability of Ethereum surpassing $3,000 in March is priced at just 3.

3. Solana (LEFT):

In predictions titled “What Will Solana’s Price Be in March?”, bearish forecasts are prominent for Solana as well.

The most dominant scenario is pricing below $80 with a 43% probability.

The US Federal Reserve (FED) kept interest rates unchanged last night, as expected. However, in verbal remarks following the FED decision, FED Chairman Jerome Powell signaled that policymakers will remain cautious about interest rate cuts as long as inflationary pressures persist.

Powell, indicating the possibility of a two-pronged approach regarding interest rates, stated that the issue of raising interest rates was also discussed at the last meeting.

Powell’s remarks indicate that the Fed is taking a cautious approach to basing its policy decisions on data, leaving both interest rate cuts and rate increases open as possible options.

The Fed also added that it plans to cut interest rates once in 2026 and once in 2027.

The Federal Reserve’s cautious approach to interest rate policy has caused sharp declines in cryptocurrency markets, as well as in gold and silver.

With over $100 billion wiped from market value in the last 24 hours, losses continue to deepen in Bitcoin ($BTC) and leading altcoins.

While the price of Bitcoin fell below $70,000 during the day, $BTC, which had risen above $76,000 the previous day, quickly reversed its direction downwards.

The Fed also left altcoins in a losing position. Major altcoins like Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP saw losses in the 5-6% range.

According to Coinglass data, the total amount liquidated in the last 24 hours reached $581 million. Of this, $491.2 million was from long positions and $89.7 million was from short positions.

The decline triggered by the Fed was not limited to Bitcoin and altcoins. Gold and silver prices also experienced sharp drops.

Since 2008, banks have shifted a growing share of their lending to nonbanks like private credit funds, making it their fastest-growing loan category.

That shift doesn’t signal another 2008-style crisis today, but it does show where trouble could surface first if private credit starts to crack.

This week, traders, analysts, and Investment firms are reviving a familiar question: are US banks setting up a repeat of 2008?

The clean answer is no, based on the publicly available numbers. The same debate also points to a real shift in bank balance sheets that deserves a harder look.

The chart below, which is circulating on X, shows that bank lending to nondepository financial institutions, or NDFIs, rose 2,320% over 15 years.

An FDIC note documented $1.32 trillion of those loans by the third quarter of 2025, up from $56 billion in the first quarter of 2010, and called the category the fastest-growing loan segment since the 2008-09 crisis.
After 2008, large banks pulled back from riskier direct lending, but they also funded the nonbank lenders that stepped in. That group includes private credit vehicles, mortgage finance firms, securitization structures, and other parts of the shadow banking system. The risk moved elsewhere rather than disappearing.

However, that does not mean banks are already in trouble. The FDIC’s latest industry profile showed the banking sector earned $295 billion in 2025, posted a fourth-quarter return on assets of 1.24%, reduced unrealized securities losses to $306 billion, and counted 60 problem banks, still within the agency’s normal non-crisis range. Those are not the numbers of a system already in a panic.

The issue is where losses, redemptions, and liquidity pressure land when the lending chain has more links.
