Ethereum price is trading at $2,203 on Monday, with a mildly bullish near-term bias, holding above the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $2,163 and the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement at $2,138.

Price has also pushed above the horizontal channel top near $2,148, hinting at an attempted breakout from the corrective structure, while the RSI on the daily chart is around 55 and a still-positive MACD line suggests constructive but not overextended momentum.

On the topside, initial resistance is seen near the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement at $2,380, followed by the 100-day EMA at roughly $2,353 and then the more distant 200-day EMA around $2,602, which together define a broader supply band.

Bitcoin slides to $71,000 after Trump's blockade order in Strait of Hormuz

Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies fell on Sunday after Trump ordered the naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, signaling a potential escalation in the U.S.-Iran conflict.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the wider cryptocurrency market declined on Sunday after U.S. negotiators failed to reach a peace agreement with Iranian officials.

According to The Block's crypto price page, bitcoin ￼BTC-0.92%￼

 fell 2.6% over the past 24 hours to $71,093 as of 9:28 p.m. ET on Sunday. The cryptocurrency dropped to a low of around $70,600 earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Ethereum slid 3.6% to $2,202, XRP dipped 2% to $1.33, and Solana fell 3.25% to $82. The GMCI 30 index, which tracks the performance of the top 30 cryptocurrencies, was down 2.5% in the past 24 hours.

"Geopolitical headlines dominated crypto markets today as U.S.-Iran peace talks in Islamabad collapsed after 21 hours, triggering a sharp risk-off move," said BTC Markets Crypto Analyst Rachael Lucas. 

Despite 21 hours of negotiations in Islamabad, U.S. and Iranian officials failed to resolve the protracted war. U.S. Vice President JD Vance said on Sunday that Iranian representatives were unwilling to accept U.S. terms. In contrast, Iran's state media said the talks collapsed due to "unreasonable demands" from the U.S.

While President Donald Trump's two-week ceasefire announcement prompted crypto and other risk assets to rally last week, investors remained cautious, as a full peace deal would likely require one party to make the difficult choice of softening its stance.

According to the latest report, Bitwise has taken a step closer toward the launch of its proposed spot Hyperliquid (HYPE) exchange-traded fund (ETF) after filing a second amendment with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

Bitwise Updates List Of Countertrading Parties In Hyperliquid ETF Filing
On Friday, April 10th, Bitwise submitted its second amendment to its spot Hyperliquid with the SEC, introducing new names to the list of approved trading counterparties ahead of an imminent launch in the US. This latest filing included FalconX, Flowdesk, Nonco, and Wintermute as approved trading counterparties for the asset manager.

Earlier in its first amendment filing in December 2025, Bitwise revealed the fund’s BHYP ticker, an annual management fee of 0.67%, and a proposal to generate additional profit through HYPE staking. Also, the asset management fund had listed three trading counterparties at the time, including A1 (now dropped off), Nonco, and Solios (disclosed as a d/b/a of FalconX).

In a post on the social media platform, Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas highlighted the second amendment filing, saying that this latest update suggests that the fund’s launch might be imminent. Despite competition from two other asset managers, Bitwise looks set to win the race for the first spot ETF linked to Hyperliquid’s native token, HYPE.

21Shares followed with an application of its own to launch a Hyperliquid ETF in October 2025, while Grayscale submitted its own filing in late March 2026. Upon approval (which looks like a matter of when rather than if), Bitwise’s HYPE ETF will debut on the NYSE Arca stock exchange and offer investors exposure to the spot price of Hyperliquid.

$XRP is trading around $1.33 as the altcoin continues to drift lower with no meaningful catalyst in sight. While broader markets are in a wait-and-see mode around the US-Iran ceasefire developments, $XRP has found no relief from the pressure. It is sliding further toward the critical support zone that has served as the last line of defense since February.

Ripple Price Analysis: The $USDT Pair

The structure on the $USDT pair remains firmly bearish. $XRP is trading inside a descending channel with both the 100-day MA (~$1.60) and 200-day MA (~$1.90) declining well overhead. The asset has been grinding lower in a slow bleed that has now brought it uncomfortably close to the $1.20 support zone.

That level held during the February capitulation wick but has not been tested on a sustained closing basis. Therefore, a retest appears increasingly likely at the current trajectory.

The RSI is also hovering in the low-to-mid 40s, reflecting weak but not yet oversold conditions. This suggests there is still room to the downside before any mean-reversion bounce becomes probable. Buyers need to see a reclaim of at least $1.60 — the descending channel’s upper boundary and the convergence zone of the 100-day MA — before any recovery thesis holds water.

Below $1.20, the next meaningful support sits at $1.00, with little structural backing between those two levels.
The $BTC Pair

The $XRP/$BTC pair has deteriorated much more sharply than its $USDT pair counterpart. The pair is now trading at approximately 1,864 sats, which is well below the 2,000 sats level that had offered some support through February and March. The breakdown is significant and confirms that $XRP is not just falling in dollar terms, but actively losing ground against Bitcoin at an accelerating pace.

Last week started with the cumulative Spot Bitcoin [BTC] ETF recording $471.4 million in inflows, in which BlackRock’s IBIT recorded the highest inflow worth $181.9 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC with $147.3 million.

Ark Invest’s ARKB also saw inflows worth $118.8 million, whereas Grayscale recorded inflows worth $17.6 million. Meanwhile, others recorded minimal to zero flows.

However, on the 7th of April, Bitcoin ETFs saw outflows worth $159.1 million, in which Fidelity’s FBTC recorded the maximum outflows worth $47.8 million. Following the trail was Grayscale’s GBTC, which recorded $41.9 million in outflows, whereas BlackRock’s IBIT saw $17.1 million flowing out.

Even on the 8th of April, when the ceasefire was announced, the outflows continued, with the cumulative BTC ETF recording $93.9 million in outflows. On this day, only Fidelity’s FBTC, Ark Invest’s ARKB, and Grayscale’s GBTC recorded outflows worth $79.1 million, $74.7 million, and $11.1 million, respectively. 

All other ETFs recorded inflows, with IBIT leading at $40.4 million. Interestingly, things changed on the 9th and 10th of April, wherein $358.1 million and $240.2 million, respectively, flowed into the BTC ETFs. On both these days, IBIT received maximum inflows worth $269.3 million and $137.6 million, respectively. Whereas Grayscale’s GBTC recorded zero flows on both days.
