Valour, a subsidiary of DeFi Technologies and a cryptocurrency ETP issuer, has made an important announcement regarding Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

According to the official announcement, Valour has launched BTC and ETH staking ETPs for individual investors in the UK.

Valour announced that it has received approval from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to offer cryptocurrency ETFs to retail investors.

Following this approval, the company’s 1Valour Bitcoin (BTC) Physical Staking and 1Valour Ethereum (ETH) Physical Staking products began trading on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) on January 26.

Valour, after previously offering its products for professional investors on the LSE, is expanding its reach to retail investors in the UK.

Following the launch of the asset-backed Ethereum Physical Staking ETP for professional investors and the world’s first physically backed Bitcoin Staking ETP, Valour is pleased to offer these products to retail investors in the UK.

World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a crypto project backed by US President Donald Trump, moved a chunk of its Bitcoin exposure into Ethereum this week. Reports say the group sold wrapped Bitcoin holdings and picked up a large amount of Ether in the same set of transactions.

WLFI Moves From WBTC To ETH

According to blockchain trackers, about 93.77 WBTC was sold, which worked out to roughly $8 million at the time of the swap. The proceeds were used to buy around 2,868 ETH, with an average price of about $2,813 per unit.

The trade was executed from a wallet that on-chain analysts link to WLFI’s treasury. That wallet activity was visible on public ledgers and has been shared across several crypto news sites and data monitors.

Onchain Data And Market Context

Prices were modestly lower for ETH when the purchase happened, which some traders see as a buying chance. Reports say this move comes as Ethereum trading ranges have made some holders rethink where to park large sums.

The crypto market is keenly awaiting the Federal Reserve’s potential decision on interest rates after the FOMC meeting tomorrow. With inflation still high and the job market starting to cool, investors are watching to see whether the Fed will change its approach or keep rates unchanged. After easing policy in recent meetings, the central bank appears to take a wait-and-see approach.Fed to Hold Rates After This FOMC Meeting

The Federal Reserve is reportedly gearing up to conduct its FOMC meeting today and tomorrow. After the FOMC meeting, the Fed will decide whether to change the interest rates, currently at 3.5%-3.75%.

The central bank has reduced the rate by a quarter point at the last three FOMC meetings. In December, the bank lowered the rates by 25 basis points to the current level. These moves were intended to prevent a slowdown in the job market from turning into higher unemployment.

However, in the FOMC minutes last month, many Fed officials stated that it would be better to pause rate cuts after three consecutive reductions. This cast a shadow over the central bank’s potential move.

The odds on the CME FedWatch Tool also reinforce this speculation, as the chance for a Fed rate hold is currently at 97.2%. This marks a marginal surge from last week’s Fed rate hold odds at 95%, as reported by CoinGape.
While President Donald Trump repeatedly calls for interest rate cuts, Fed Chair Jerome Powell sees this as a challenging situation. He noted,

“A very large number of participants agree that risks are to the upside for unemployment and to the upside for inflation.
