A new narrative is quietly emerging in crypto.
BitGo has partnered with Susquehanna Crypto to bring institutional players into OTC prediction markets. This allows hedge funds, family offices, and large investors to trade event-based contracts directly using Bitcoin or stablecoins — without converting to cash or moving assets off-platform.
So what’s really happening here?
Prediction markets are evolving from a retail experiment into a serious financial instrument. From Bitcoin price movements to geopolitical events and even weather outcomes — everything can now be priced as probability.
💡 At its core, this is the financialization of “belief” and “uncertainty.”
But as always, opportunity comes with risk.
On one side: Institutional access brings deeper liquidity, better price discovery, and the potential to use prediction markets as a hedging tool.
On the other: Regulatory pressure is rising fast — especially in the US. Multiple states are already cracking down, with some labeling these platforms as unlicensed gambling operations.
And it gets more complex: 👉 Concerns around insider trading are growing
👉 Lawmakers are considering bringing prediction markets under derivatives or gaming laws
👉 Federal vs state jurisdiction is still unclear
So the big question is:
Is this the foundation of a new financial system,
or just another grey area waiting to be regulated?
📊 My take: Prediction markets have real long-term value — they aggregate information and reflect collective expectations better than many traditional tools. But in the short term, regulation will decide everything.
Until clear rules are in place, this space remains high potential… and highly uncertain.

Irish drug dealer's lost 500 BTC reawakens after 10 years, likely moved by police A bitcoin wallet originally owned by Irish drug dealer Clifton Collins moved $35 million worth of BTC on Tuesday after 10 years of dormancy.

The move was likely carried out by the Irish police force, according to The Irish Times.

Onchain analysts on Tuesday flagged a $35 million transfer linked to a 6,000 BTC stash tied to Irish drug dealer Clifton Collins, which had long been considered unrecoverable.

According to Arkham Intelligence data, a wallet associated with Collins transferred 500 BTC to an unknown address "3ASF4･･･ KiaKC" in the morning hours of March 24. The wallet quickly distributed the 500 BTC across dozens of addresses, with $13.5 million deposited into Coinbase Prime.

However, strong recent days pushed the funds very close to turning positive again for the year. According to Balchunas, one more solid inflow day would fully erase the YTD deficit. The expert emphasized that the BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the largest BTC ETF, had already recovered its own YTD flows.IBIT is performing exceptionally well compared to the other ETFs. After a quick dip below the major $69K horizontal support, the $BTC price rose, dipped again, and rebounded from this important level. Can the bulls now drive the price up another $4,600 or so to another higher high and maintain hopes of a trend change, or will the bears prove too strong?

The sideways and slightly upward chopping back and forth continues to be the modus operandi of the $BTC price, and has been for several weeks now. However, when one looks at the bear flag, and how the downtrend line converges with its top, this does appear to be the major obstacle in the path of the Bitcoin bulls.

Is there a chance the bulls can still beat the downtrend? Yes, but it may take the dropping of some major good news to pull the $BTC price out of this macro move to the downside. 

If the price moves up strongly from here, a higher high could well be achieved, but this would bring the price back up to the top of the bear flag, and by then, faltering momentum would likely bring the price down again. If such a move did take place, it would probably be the last attempt before the downtrend line and the top of the bear flag outright rejected the price, with the next big downward leg possibly following soon after.
