In addressing unemployment caused by AI, Elon Musk has ventured into macroeconomic territory by suggesting universal high income via direct government-issued payments.

His argument is simple: even as cash distributions increase, inflationary pressure will be limited because the supply of goods and services will outpace the growth of the money supply, as AI and robotics significantly increase productivity.

The cryptocurrency market is directly impacted by that idea. Liquidity dynamics will be drastically altered if widespread income distribution becomes a reality. Purchasing power becomes more evenly distributed among millions of participants, rather than concentrated among institutions and wealthy individuals.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI.

CryptoQuant’s Spot Average Order Size data showed a rise in large orders over the past week. This reflected stronger whale participation.

Even so, CoinGlass data pointed to a transition phase. Some whales sold into strength, while others accumulated aggressively.

A key element under consideration is a proposal that would see the U.S. unfreeze approximately $20 billion in Iranian assets in exchange for Iran giving up its stockpile of enriched uranium. The idea has been informally described by some officials as a “cash for uranium” arrangement, though it remains only one of several options on the table.
Earlier in the negotiations, the U.S. reportedly floated a figure of around $6 billion for humanitarian-related purposes, while Iran initially demanded as much as $27 billion. The current $20 billion figure is seen as a potential middle ground in ongoing discussions.
One U.S. official clarified that the proposal reflects the U.S. negotiating position, while another emphasized that the “cash for uranium” concept is still part of broader exploratory talks and not a finalized agreement.
On the nuclear issue itself, Washington is reportedly insisting that Iran transfer all enriched nuclear material to the United States. Tehran, however, has only agreed to a process of “domestic dilution” under international supervision.
A possible compromise under discussion would involve sending some highly enriched uranium to a third country (not necessarily the U.S.), while the remainder would be diluted inside Iran under monitored conditions.
Overall, the talks highlight both the complexity and the cautious progress of negotiations, with both sides still far apart but exploring potential pathways to reduce escalation and stabilize the situation.

Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan argues that these developments reflect a deeper structural shift: in a world where traditional fiat systems can be influenced or “weaponized” through sanctions and financial controls, Bitcoin is increasingly being viewed as a neutral, borderless alternative.
According to Hougan, Bitcoin’s original narrative as “digital gold” (a store of value) may be expanding. In limited but meaningful scenarios, it could also begin to function as a transactional medium—effectively giving it a dual identity as both “gold and currency.”
Previously, Bitwise estimated that Bitcoin could reach $1 million if it captures around 17% of the global $38 trillion store-of-value market over the next decade. However, Hougan suggests that if Bitcoin’s use cases broaden beyond storage of value into currency-like functions, those long-term projections may need to be revised upward.
While still speculative, the broader implication is clear: global uncertainty is accelerating the search for apolitical financial rails—and Bitcoin is increasingly part of that conversation.
The question is no longer just whether Bitcoin is digital gold, but whether it could evolve into something even broader in the global financial system.
