While derivatives activity accelerated, the Spot market showed a more cautious trend.

Weekly data showed net outflows of $1.49 million since the 12th of April. This followed a larger $1.58 million sell-off in the previous week.

Together, these flows highlighted sustained distribution from Spot participants.

However, short-term flows began to shift.

Over the past 24 hours, Worldcoin [WLD] recorded $47,000 in net inflows. This suggested early signs of buyer interest returning at current levels.

Even so, sentiment leaned heavily bullish.

Around 76% of over 118,000 tracked participants expected further upside. While sentiment alone does not drive price, it often amplifies short-term positioning.

The BlackRock Investment Institute has shifted its stance on US equities back to overweight.In its latest weekly commentary, the BlackRock cites resilient corporate earnings and contained economic fallout from geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. "We go overweight. Contained damage to global growth from the Mideast conflict and strong earnings expectations particularly in tech - keep us risk-on. "The analysts also point to economic incentives for de-escalation in the U.S.-Iran conflict, suggesting that U.S. equities are likely to outperform even if broader market returns prove modest. The institute believes emerging market (EM) stocks and defense-related themes remain attractive opportunities. "We see evidence of economic incentives to end the U.S.-Iran conflict. We turn moderately positive risk and like U.S. stocks as a relative preference, seeing them holding up better even if absolute performance disappoints. We also turn overweight EM stocks and still favor thematic opportunities like defense. "The shift reverses a March move from overweight to neutral on U.S. equities, which was driven by market volatility and concerns that higher interest rates could weigh on stocks, particularly small caps.Over a six to twelve-month horizon, the institute continues to favor Al infrastructure and equipment providers, noting that "electro tech" components such as batteries, power electronics, and electric motors are poised to benefit from rising electricity demand and supply constraints.Generated Image:

He noted that the XRP Ledger isn’t proof of stake, but highlighted that other infrastructure is in place for holders to earn yields. Expert Reveals How Holders Can Earn Passive IncomeIn an X post, Cage stated that in the next few years, crypto investors will likely be able to earn 5% to 10% on their holdings in multiple ways. He specifically alluded to XRP, noting it isn’t proof of stake, but that yield is coming through a new infrastructure being built. Additionally, he mentioned cross-chain yield, with the Flare network already providing ways for XRP holders to earn yield on its network. Other firms of yields for holders could also come through ‘Set it and forget it Yield accounts,’ wallets, applications, and exchanges that embed yields for several products. Cage also cited risky DeFi products that could give XRP holders up to 20% yield but advised against them. He described Collateralized Debt Positions (CDPs) as the ‘big one’ for holders to earn yields, in which they use their holdings as collateral. They can borrow against their XRP, access liquidity without selling their asset, and the loans are not taxable events. Cage added that this is what billionaires do when they borrow against their stocks rather than sell them, triggering taxes.  Pundit

Japan is preparing to significantly relax its long-standing restrictions on arms exports, marking a major shift in its post-war defense posture. According to government officials, the ruling party has already approved the policy changes, with formal adoption expected as early as this month.
For decades, Japan has maintained strict limits on weapons exports under its pacifist post-World War II framework. Despite this, the country has developed a highly advanced defense manufacturing base supported by an annual defense budget of roughly $60 billion. That industrial capability is now being repositioned toward global markets.
The policy shift is already drawing strong interest from international buyers. Poland and the Philippines are among the most active potential partners. Poland is reportedly looking to Japan for capabilities in counter-drone systems and electronic warfare, while the Philippines may acquire second-hand Japanese frigates amid rising maritime tensions in the South China Sea.
The timing reflects broader global trends. With the United States stretched across multiple geopolitical flashpoints and allies increasingly questioning long-term security commitments, many countries are seeking to diversify their defense suppliers. European diplomats say Japan’s move is being viewed as a strategic opportunity to reduce reliance on U.S. defense supply chains.
Japanese defense firms are already responding. Toshiba is planning to hire hundreds of additional workers and expand production capacity, while Mitsubishi Electric is strengthening its overseas sales presence in key hubs such as London and Singapore.
South Korea’s rapid rise as a global arms exporter provides a clear benchmark for Japan’s ambitions. Given its larger industrial base and technological depth, analysts suggest Japan could emerge as an even more significant player in the global defense export market.
