BitMine stock jumped to $20.85, its highest level since May 15, up sharply from the year-to-date low of $12.54. This rebound happened as Ethereum price jumped above the crucial resistance level of $2,000 amid a crypto resurgence.
Ethereum price is rebounding as Crypto Fear and Greed Index jumps
BitMine stock jumped as investors rotated to Ethereum and other coins. ETH rose to $2,330, its highest level since May 11. It has jumped by 50% from its lowest level this year.
This rebound continued as investors embraced a risk-on sentiment. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index has moved from the extreme fear zone of 17 to the current 52. In most cases, this growth normally leads to more demand for cryptocurrencies.
Ethereum is also rising as demand for its quoted ETFs continued adding assets. Data shows that spot Ethereum ETF inflows jumped by $189 million on Wednesday, up sharply from $71 million on Tuesday and $30 million a day earlier.
These funds have added $534 million this month up sharply from $365 million a month earlier. They have had a cumulative inflows of over $11.75 billion, bringing the total net assets to $12 billion. These are all bullish catalysts for Ethereum and BitMine, the biggest holder of the coin.
BitMine is nearing an inflection point
Tom Lee’s BitMine Immersion is nearing an inflection point as it nears the 5% Ethereum accumulation target. If Ethereum rebounds and hits its all-time high, BitMine will have executed one of the best dollar cost averaging (DCA) strategy over time. That’s because it has been buying Ethereum as its price has plunged in the past few months.
The company has bought 37,696 coins in the last 30 days, bringing the total coins to 5.815 million coins. This means that it needs to buy 185k coins to hit its 5% target.

Shiba Inu stabilizes sooner than expected
Compared to the low-volatility price action that dominated the first half of August, the move appears to be much stronger. Momentum indicators turned sharply upward, and volume increased in tandem with the green candle. The return of $SHIB above its shorter-term moving averages is the key current technical development.

After clearing the averages around $0.00000450 and $0.00000460, the token is currently testing the much more significant resistance between $0.00000489 and $0.00000500. Since the start of August, this region has consistently restricted upside attempts. Therefore, a confirmed break above $0.00000500 would be more significant than just the percentage gain.

After months of continuous decline, it would place $SHIB above yet another significant moving average and create the first convincingly higher short-term trading range. The effort is supported by momentum. The daily RSI has quickly moved toward bullish territory without hitting the traditional overbought threshold of 70, rising from below 50 to roughly 61. However, on-chain exchange data remains inconsistent.

Netflows are finally stabilzing

The total exchange netflow is still significantly negative at about 207.3 billion $SHIB, while $SHIB's exchange reserves fell by 0.24%. Both may reduce sell-side availability in the near term. At the same time, total inflows came to about 523.1 billion $SHIB, and the seven-day mean exchange inflow rose by 23.8%.

Trader who made $49 million shorting crypto lost $24 million on ether in 12 seconds
The Hyperliquid wallet known as pension-usdt.eth was forced out of a 50,000 ETH short as ether surged, with five liquidation orders helping push the price higher during the unwind.
The wallet known as “pension-usdt.eth” had been short ether for two months. On Thursday morning it was closed out after a surge across all major tokens, and lost nearly $24 million on the trade.

The address had been one of the more successful short sellers of the year, with roughly $49 million in profits from betting against crypto. Its recent record was a run of wins — nearly $6 million on a 60,000 ETH short closed in June, $3.6 million on a 1,400 BTC short in the same month, $1.7 million on another bitcoin short in March.

This single trade cost half of everything the wallet had made. Hyperliquid's records show the liquidation ran from 04:51:03 to 04:51:15, in five separate forced sales. First 9,989 ETH at $2,193, then 20,698 at $2,209, then 15,830 at $2,214, then 1,871 at $2,236.
By the end there were no buyers left for the last 1,417 ETH, so Hyperliquid absorbed it into a fund it keeps for exactly that purpose.

Ether rose $43 over those 12 seconds. The trader's own forced buying was part of what moved it, and every dollar it climbed made the remaining chunks more expensive to close.
The position was held for 1,445 hours, or a little over two months, through a stretch when bitcoin traded in a range below $65,000 and betting against it looked like the easy side. Wednesday's Treasury buyback announcement ended that, with ether surging up 18% in the past 24 horus and bitcoin zooming from $64,000 to nearly $70,000.
